It looks good. I was adding this to a vehicle that didn’t have an area to mount these so I had to build some brackets, which I did with angle iron and a little welding. It definitely adds a lot and it pretty sturdy. Mine had a ding or 2 here and there, and the paint is a little soft but not noticeable. Assembly of the actual product was pretty easy, though I didn’t use all the mounting parts

I used this to drive from California to New Jersey in April 2022. I just removed the device from the car October 28. It remains in perfect shape. I took the advice of a previous reviewer who recommended to apply rust resistant paint prior to using it. You will see the paint job the device comes with is terrible and comes off with a slight scratch. I applied 2 coats of rust resistant black spray prior to using it. The device is in perfect condition left on the from May through October in New Jersey. There is no rust and no scratches on it. The device is very sturdy and perfect size form our Land Rover Sport. It was a little tricky figuring out how to attach the rack to the roof rails. The directions aren’t helpful for that. Place the rack on top of the car sitting on the roof rails. Apply the plastic peace concave up under the roof rail. Then place the metal horseshoe shaped piece with screws on both ends through the side openings of the plastic piec pointing up. Place the metal bar facing downward and pass the screws through each opening of the metal bar and then use the nuts to fasten it down.

I wanted to wait a couple months before writing a review. I was researching and researching for an inexpensive yet decent rack. I read review after review and wanted to personally give my pros and cons: Cons (start with ear first because these were fixed) 1. A part of the rack did come damaged but was easily fixable so I could slide the arm through (picture attached). 2. This is an inexpensive rack and lots of complaints about rust. Tac welds piece parts together and there are gaps and opening that water can leak in and settle. 3. From the stated above this can lead to rust (what I read in the reviews) 4. Assembly to the top of my car wasn’t too hard but one set of bars didn’t line up so the bracket is a touch crooked. Pros: 1. Easy to assemble! 2. Huge! This thing almost allows me to double my storage. 3. Save you some money! All in all what I did after assembly was seal the gaps and joints with a clear sealant and then took two coats of flex seal spray to give a little more durability and act as a second sealant. Be sure to install your brackets with the screw ins facing down. This will make for an easier time of storing without the screw ons getting in the way. I would also recommend getting the 1” rubber tips to put over the screw ons. And most importantly, I wanted to wait to write the review to heck for the biggest complaint….the RUST. We’ve had rain, I’ve taken it through many washed and it’s holding up very well. Tons of compliments and looks awesome.

Received the Ecotric roof rack dented along its side where it would be located at the driver's door. Decided to keep it instead of getting a replacement. My recommendation if this happens to you is keep returning the item until you get a good unit. This is a sturdy roof rack with a decent design constructed in a semi rough way. See the photos of the cross tube ends. They aren't fully welded or even aligned with the main structure. Water ingress is certain so this will rust from the inside out if not addressed. Pouring a paint+primer into the tubes will help but silicone sealing the open ends and joints will also help keep moisture out of the rack. Other than the potential to rust and extra work needed to protect the rack from rusting this is a sold roof rack. Good value and functionality if you don't mind the extra work. Also, at this price point it's the only adjustable design to fit so many vehicles.

The item seems sturdy. But, lots of rust/ erosion on the cravices. Erosion due to lack of attention when painting. They left bare metal and that happens. Look at the pictures. Idk who checks the quality on this items. But since it would be expose to the environment it would get worst when rain on. I have to now spend money on spray cans to clean then cover those corners. Have that in mind when buying this item. Good luck. Is simple to installed and put together. Instructions are simple.

Great value. The welds look a bit flimsy, but does the job. Fits my 2021 Nissan Rogue

My roof basket was damaged upon arrival. The mating sections are bent out of shape, preventing assembly and installation from being possible. There should be no fixing or modifications necessary for a brand new item. The overall construction of the rack is poor. The metal is very thin. It is held together with small tack welds, and has many areas for water to get in. These racks are also known to rust internally like crazy, and leak rusty water all over your vehicle. These would probably completely rust out in a few short years. A decent quality basket should last for many years and perhaps decades or more with maintenance. This may look similar to Yakima or Curt baskets, but do not be fooled. It is no where near the build quality, and quite a bit smaller in many ways. It's not actually 67" long either. If you live in Canada, I highly suggest just getting the princess auto roof basket along with an extension. It is better in every way, larger, and nearly the same price when it's on sale. I thought this basket was essentially the same as the princess auto one, but it is paltry in comparison. Another thing to note is that there are no extensions available to purchase for this basket. There are similar extensions on Amazon and other places. They look close but they are in no way compatible.

Avant même de l’installer j’ai fait ce que beaucoup de gens ont faient, j’ai bloqué tous les joints avec du silicone transparent et par la suite, j’ai tout repeinturé avec du noir mât et le tour est joué. Il a été installé pendant plusieurs mois cet été et aucun signe de rouille. Tous mes amis trouvait le look très beau. Très pratique pour tous nos voyages et transport d’équipements.
