This is a brilliant quality DECT telephone in a form factor of a desk phone rather than being a cordless.Setup was very straightforward, tho this is the German variant you can go into the settings and change the language to English, with it being the German variant I suggest having some two-pin to UK Converters avaliable, as as they come with European two-pin power plugs, also the user guide is only in German, but the menu is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate to get to settings and then to language to change it.The base has a weight in it which keeps it steady in place should you pull on the handset cord, it does a pretty good jop of keeping the unit in place.Though this mentions in the title it is good for a fritzbox or similar you can connect it to a standard DECT telephone connection, which most DECT telephones support by the going into the menu system or pressing and holding the paging button for 3 seconds.I'm very pleased with the audio quality and you can change the profile for the handset and speaker, so you can either have the handset as standard or with more trouble if you don't like bass on your call, there are four fixed profiles to choose for the hands-free to adjust bass and treble.It's worth noting that if you download the gigaset quicksync software you can also add your own pictures and ringtones to the phones, I already use some other gigaset telephones so I put on the ringtone that they use and now there's not different ringtones from other phones they all ring in unison.The keypad can feel slightly mushy so it's worth noting that under their it appears there is a rubber membrane so you do have to push the keys all the way down for them to register, sometimes a light tap will not suffice, the handset is sculpted to the face so it is shaped well and this is about the right weight it's not too heavy and not too light.Overall a really great telephone.

It is very good - I’m very happy with it, paired with our current Gigaset phone base and copied in the contacts. It better than having another landline phone as an extension as when you answer it you don’t end up with missed calls on the other phone and you can call internally etc.

I got this to replace an old DECT handset that had failed, and once I had figured out how to set the language to English it worked very well on the old BT base station. It would be great if the supplier put the basic instruction in the package to set the language because after that its very easy to set up. Nice to have a proper phone on my desk again without extension wires all around the house . Good quality and good hands free sound.

on the description of the phone there was no mention that it has a European 2 pin plug, also the instruction manual is in German.

Should have a uk plug! Should also make it clear that a DECT phone doesn’t work on its own: it doesn’t connect to the phone line directly but through an extra piece of technology which you buy separately.
