This is the best pipe i've ever smoked
This is an amazingly beautiful high quality pipe. I've been smoking pipes for a little over two years, and i can confidently say this is an extremely high quality pipe. The bowl is solid hardwood, with a very deep narrow bowl to hold a flame. The openings are large enough to prevent whistling and moisture build up, but not so large the bowl overheats or scorches. The wood itself doesn't have any major flavor to clash with the flavor of the tobacco, and it looks awesome. The odd shape of the pipe fits my hand, almost as if it was purposely made ergonomically. If held the way it fits into my hand, the asymetrical way the bowl is exposed actually makes a small sheild from the wind, so the matches won't go out prematurely. The narrow deep bowl allows the pipe to be easily lit with only one match, as opposed to larger bores where two would be necessary to get a full light. This pipe is quite a bit larger than it looks in the picture as well. The wooden piece of the stem can be removed to make it a smaller pipe if it would be desired, but with it added, it makes a very large manly pipe that will put your friends to shame. This is the most beautiful, highest quality pipe i have ever smoked. Clearly products of the highest quality are a very important aspect to this ukranian company. Competes with and surpasses the 200 dollar pipes i have smoked. All in all, i will never buy a pipe made by another company as long as this one is still producing these fine pieces.

Pretty good
I bought this pipe coming from not to much knowledge on pipes. I have been smoking pipes for about a year now, im 18 so almost a year, and i love them. This was my firt some what nice pipe. It smokes amazing, looks fantastic, and the flavors are great. If is a bit bigger than I thought it would be. Also after the 3rd smoke the stem that connects to the bowl just slid right off. I was a little angery, but a little bit of super glue around the brass fixed it right up. The only downfall is that now i cant take the bottom part of the stem off. But over all i love this pipe, and its a great show piece. I csnt wait to be able to step up to a little nicer one through.

Edited review: Recieved replacement stems. Still plastic stems, but I can smoke it again.
As the headline states, the stem broke off inside the pipe after only a few smokes. I really liked the way this pipe looked but the bit and stem are made very cheaply. Expect them to break. Spend your money on well known brands. You can get a Peterson Kapet for about $65-70.Edit: The seller sent me TWO replacement stems with filter extensions and also included some form of 9mm mechanical filter as well. Both stem fit nice and snug. He was pleasant via email and shipped the stems with no hassle. I'm raising my rating to 3 stars based on his customer service, but the stems are still plastic and not vulcanite or acrylic. For the price, it's a decent pipe.

One of my all-time favorites!
I ordered this pipe back on September 6, 2012. Since then it has been in the regular rotation of the pipes that I will smoke from. I love the weight of it, the way it fits my right hand, and the overall look of this pipe. That said, I think most of all I love the way it smokes. I've never had a bad smoke while puffing on this particular pipe. It's solid, easy to take apart for regular maintenance, and reasonable priced. All in all I continue to be pleased with my pear wood tobacco pipe.***Note when I purchased mine it didn't come with the 2 packs of pipe screens. Personally it's my opinion that screens have no business in a tobacco pipe but to each their own.

Lasted less then a month!!!
While it worked it was a very good smoke. In just 2 weeks a little crack appeared in the bowl by where stem is inserted. It wasn't all the way through but started to run longer and deeper in the next few days. Then, after a week, a plastic part of the stem broke off rendering pipe completely unusable. This is my second pear wood pipe made by Ukrainian Souvenir and a first one met the same unfortunate end when the bowl cracked after 2 months of use. I've been using pipe made of brier ever since.

Great price for a good pipe. Day 1 reveiw.
Okay, Just got it today and I like it. It's always a risk ordering a tobbacco pipe through the mail. Ukrainian souvenir seems to have gotten it right. Stem fit snuggly into Stummel. Gets a good drag. This particular pipe fits snuggly into my hand. Wood is stained but not polished. Chamber was pre-carboned and a bit smaller in diameter compared to my other pipes; packing just right takes me a bit more care. I will up-date this reveiw after I have built a cake in the Chamber and see how it holds up after daily use. Came with a nice pouch and screens for my faucet...For those that don't know. Stems should not be removed until 48 after use, at least until it's completely cooled down. If you broke your stem that may be why. The tobacco resins must be allowed to dry to help create the cake. Over heating the stummel can also crack any pipe, smoke slowly, master the pack, and let the pipe cool after each use. I hear Ukrainian souvenir will send a replacement stem if you ask nicely. With good care I should'nt have to find out.

Very good, feels sturdy, looks awesome
I bought it for my boyfriend. It's bigger than expected at first, but it fits in your hand nicely and it's a very comfortable feel for people who are left-handed (like my boyfriend). He loves it. He walks around the house with it in his mouth all the time just because he thinks it's so awesome :) The bowl is kinda small though. But the wood smells good and the draw is really nice. It's very smooth. I love it
