Haoge Metal Conical Snoot with Honeycomb Grid and Color Gel Filter Kit for Bowens Mount Studio Strobe Monolight Photography Flash Light

CONS: It is smaller than described in the picture. It is only 15.5cm long, unlike the 19.5cm in the photo. It only has 5 "rings" on it instead of the 6 that the photo shows. It gets hot within SECONDS of the modeling light being on, and gets much hotter than my other modifiers.PROS: Is a good cheaper alternative to brand name snoots. I bought it with the Haoge adapter that changes Bowens mount to Broncolor mount so I could use it with my Siros lights. It does a good job of focusing the light, and the included grid makes it even better. The grid is the best part about this product.In the end, I'll probably end up keeping it because it is significantly cheaper than name brand snoots, and visually still gets the job done. But I will definitely need to use heat protectant gloves with this, and I intend to reach out to the seller to see if I can get the larger version that is pictured.

Though I've never heard of Hoage I decided to give them a try. Price sounded good and the description was what I needed. I switched everything to bowens mount so it was all universal together. I thought this would be plastic, but when I got it was surprised to see it was metal. It also came with a few gels and a grid which others did not come with. I must say I am much happier than I thought I'd be.. I was just expecting something cheap for that price, but the build was much better than expected.

Once again Haoge has provided me with some great photography tools at a great price. I am an amateur photographer, and was looking for a snoot to do some backlighting. This snoot works great, plus having the gels and the honeycomb grid is a plus. I've only used it a couple of times so for, but it has worked pretty well. Although the color gels fit better with the honeycomb grid holding them in place, the gels still work okay with the clear plastic gel holding it in place (preferably with the snoot pointing down).

I recently used them for a model advertising photo shoot to illuminate the model's face while using strobes+gels to the sides. Worked as it should. The grid helped a lot to concentrate the beam of light on one spot only. It also comes with color gels which I haven't used yet. Good product, no problem attaching it to my bowens flashes, works as intended and seems durable.

What a great looking Snoot, this item came with everything shown in the image. One odd thing is I had considered buying some mount to use with my Neewer TT660-II but this will fit the Neewer CD-400 studio strobes. If you take off the head of the Snoot you will see the filters and the Grid. On bonus with this item is you can make your own Grid if you have the skill. This is one great buy, if you are shooting read a few books such as something from Ansel Adams to get you into the art of making something wonderful and not just a snap shot.

works fine with my flashes, now i want more colors, maybe the panal can have a more good termination with a round to protect a ring, works great

A great, and inexpensive modifier. I only wish they included a small bag, or someway to store the gels and other pieces that aren't being used at the moment. Being small, and very light weight it would be easy for them to be blown off a table, etc. just by someone walking by. I got a Ziploc baggie to store them in.

These aren’t the highest quality but for the money they make great affordable control and they are durable enough if you are careful

Honeycomb grid kept falling off. returned for refund which was promptly made.

Arrived with the box a bit squashed and a small dent in the snoot, straightened the end up ok but still a dent. However it does work well.
