My first experience with an infurser and so far so good. Looked at a boat load of them on amazon, overstock, etc. This one seemed to suit my budget, taste (simple, small and earth tone color). The breakdown:The good:~ Easy to setup and and run~ Larger reservoir compared to those in the same price ranch 100ml~ Quiet~ Relatively small foot print and stable on the counter~Easy buttons to select what duration you want it to run~Auto shutoff if out of water~ You can control whether you want the music or light on - I have both shutoffNot so good:~ Its plastic, but the color is neutral and does not bother me much~ It's made in china like everything else these days~ Annoying music button, but hey you can turn it off so it does not drive you nuts!Overall I like it and its at a decent price. I'll see how durable it is. if anything changes, I'll be sure to update this post.~

I like the timer and the auto-shutoff. It puts out a good amount of mist. The top does not screw on, it just sits over the water reservoir, so be sure to pick up by the base...otherwise it's a spill. I also like the design, it fits into my decor.However, when I was offered this at a discount cost in lieu of an honest review, I accepted this for the "calm music feature". It is not calming at all, it's a 10 -20 second loop sound of a bird combined with the ocean and then it cuts off in the middle of the bird "quack" and just sounds terrible. I spent the first night laughing soooo hard, I hurt. I cannot imagine who created the music clip for this. I cannot have it on as it has become annoying and far from soothing.

Okay, so here's the straight dope: This is a cool atomizer/vaporizer. This is not a perfumery. It won't make your house smell pretty, and it does not create a strong smell like burning incense. I did not try it with Vicks, so I did not give it the old fashioned vaporizer test, but I did follow the instructions several times. You only put in a few drops of fragrance or essential oil in comparison to the 1/2 cup or so of water, so the scent is very faint. I will try it with much stronger doses next and see if I can break this thing.The gray ring around the middle is actually a light that comes on when this thing is operating. It creates a nice effect; very spa-like. So, I got mine free for testing it out. I like it, but you have to know what it does to know if it is right for you. It runs for about 45 minutes in a real world application. It is so simple that the instructions are almost pointless. My concern is simply that you may not get the level of smell you would with a tea-light candle and a ceramic warmer; but then again, that would mean a LOT less water used. But, it does put out a vast amount of cool steam, so it does exactly what it says. The only scent or medication dispersal that will occur is in direct relation to how potent your blend is. Keeping that in mind, you can vaporize ANY essential oil with this thing, easily and with no mess. ;-)

This is my second oil diffuser, and while I like the design and some of the features, it has a few problems. The main issue is that it puts out such a blast of steam that it runs dry after awhile and shuts itself off 'way before the 3-hour setting. The other problem with the amount of "mist" is that it leaves water on the floor or table it is sitting on - be sure to put a plate or something under it! I like that fills from the top and doesn't spill as easily as some diffusers, but the amount of condensation left on the table kind of nullifies that benefit. The "music" part of the diffuser is a short (about 10 seconds) looped sound of birds and water that restarts itself as long as it is left on. Fortunately, it is very easy to turn this off. I like the look of this diffuser and the subtlety of the light. It is small enough to fit into most spaces and simple enough to go with most decors.
