Great tape for my photo studio. Functions as it should - very sticky when needed but comes right up when I'm finished with it. I use this tape to hold down the seamless paper and even for fleece backdrops that I put on the floor. It keeps things from sliding around and then at the end it is very easy to pull it back up. Sometimes I can even keep the tape that I have pulled up and use it again. It doesn't leave a residue on the floor either. The size of the rolls is very good, lots of tape. This is worth the price and ordering online makes it very easy to keep in stock.

Awesome bang for buck gaff tape. Admittedly I was buying this so my son could use it without stealing my more expensive tape. It compares favorably though with excellent gaffy-stickiness and no residue in short term usage.Will update if my thoughts on that change. :)

It is unfortunate that we can’t give zero stars for a product review…To consider this any form of an adhesive tape would be doing a grave disservice to a Teflon pan coated in butter…The first signal that this so-called tape wasn’t going to work was when I noticed how easily it seemed to drift from the roll. I mean, you couldn’t get the stuff to stick if your life depended on it. OK, Perhaps that was a bit hyperbolic… because if you stick two lengths of it adhesive side to adhesive side, it is impossible to part the two.HOWEVER…Should your needs require use of this tape to hold anything to another surface, you’ll need another roll of a different brand of tape to do so. This material (and whatever it claims to have as some form of adhesive property) Will imbue you with a false sense of actually doing the job, And then promptly releasing itself from whatever temporary bond you may have felt that you created, And begin to drift away in a slight breeze.Absolute garbage; Do yourself a favor and buy anything else. Heck, dig around in a trashcan for something heavy to lay on top of whatever you need to hold down.What a waste of my money.

This tape is exactly as described. Every photographer should have this item in their bag of tricks. I used it to hold photo paper in place and tape down cords. It peals off easily and has never left residue on any surface. The tape tears with out scissors.

Both my granddaughter and I do some limited Roadie and Lighting Crew work for a touring concert band. We don't always have access to the supply box full of the crew gear when we start loading in. We use Welstik Gaffer Tape because of the overall value. It works great for securing those pesky cable runs across crucial areas of traffic on any stage. We've used it as Spike Tape to mark certain areas for gear or performers. There are two things which we have discovered over the last year using this particular Welstik product. It can sometimes, but not always, be difficult to tear which is only an occasional and minor concern. The other thing we've discovered is if it's left in a box on the trailer where it's susceptible to extreme temperature changes, the adhesive backing WILL STICK TO THE BACK OF THE TAPE when trying to roll out a length to use. Here's the rub. ALL TAPE DOES THIS so be careful about leaving it where it gets exposed to high temperatures over a long period of time. My thoughts? I do recommend this product! Welstick Gaffers Tape does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you need a good Gaffer Tape and don't want to go with the full-blown pro-level tape because of the price, then Welstik is your product! It WORKS!

I've found this to be a solid choice of gaffer tape. No residue when removing it.

If you want a lighter weight Gaff this is great- more expensive stuff sticks like duct tape, this while thicker density, holds closer to painters tape. Definitely a good call if you need to use a lot for a short term.

It's a little thinner than "industry standard" (is there such a thing?) gaff tape. Big deal. I use it in my traveling shows and it works every bit as well as any other. And it's not $30 a roll.
