I had my doubts about this because it looked so simple and cheap, but IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM! My shower drain was clogged, and the standing water was disgusting. I used this a few times, and it dragged out huge tangles of hair and grime. My shower drains just fine now. This was so much cheaper and easier than giving a plumber $300 to do basically the same thing. I highly recommend this product!

I'm always skeptical about diy stuff like this. The next morning I went to work on the bathtub drain. Removed the cover and started to use to use it. Unfortunately the coil was to large to fit between the drain slots and I was not going to spin it in risking damage to the drain or auger. I ended up having to dig up the access cover outside and go from there. It worked just fine but was not happy about having to dig a hole in the back yard by the house.

It can't replace a plumber for fixing a serious clog. It sure works for not so bad clogs to avoid hiring expensive plumbers. I've just tried to move it through a U shape bend. It does look cheap though.

It either broke during immediate use, or was broken when I received it. I tried to snake it down my tub as I think I have a block but it ended up coiling on itself and then got super tangled up into the point where I almost had to call a plumber to remove the snake rather than the blockage! I ultimately pulled it out (after some serious yanking), but I basically called it a day and gave up on it.Probably will work for some, but just didn't for me, and again, not sure if it was broken or what not when I received it, or it was weak and it broke on user-error. RETURNED.

Great product, simple to use, fixed my clogged shower drain and now everything is fine. Definitely worth the price and much cheaper than paying $150 for a professional plumber.

So, for the price this item is OK and will get you out of a bind but understand it's made from really cheap thin plastic so not going to hold up to as the label says "professional use". You can see the handle is an outline with a thin inner piece (not comfortable at all to hold) In the photo of the back panel you can kind of tell it's thin by the fact that the panel is wavy.That all being said, the metal spring portion is descent and does actually work and that is the important part for occasional use, even when (rather than if) the handle were to break off you could still use this just it would be a lot harder..So, do I recommend it? Yes, if you just want to get out of a tight situation. As an example I recently paid a plumber $200 to snake a paper towel out of the toilet (that a guest flushed for some reason) and this would have paid for itself if I had it then. My sister uses my shower and the drain gets slow after a month due to hair going down (tried products to stop the hair but they all failed) and this would make it easy to get that clog out.
