Great piece of kit, easy to use - connect and forget. Switches off when fully charged

I’ve literally used this charger a million times for my car batteries — it’s that reliable. Fully automatic, smart charging, and it handles temperature changes well, so I never worry about overcharging. It’s easy to connect, and it works with 12V batteries perfectly. Definitely a go-to for keeping batteries topped up, especially during winter or if a vehicle sits unused for a while. Purchased to use on my 2011 VW Golf MK6 as it was failing to start, didn't have my hopes set too high but figured it was worth a shot. Hooked it up to my car battery and it was detecting and displaying correctly on screen, and after plugging into the mains the battery began charging from the 20-40% region. I checked hourly, and after around 4 hours it hit the 80-100% region. I gave it another 3 hours and it was still in that same charge region (I figured post-80% it begins trickle charging as to not damage the battery?) so I stopped there, ~7 hours total. Most importantly, after disconnecting and going to start my car it did so perfectly, smoother than it ever has since I first bought it last year. Value for for money is great, about 1/3 the cost of a new battery so I'm impressed. Reason for the 4 stars is the cables (both the positive and negative cables, and the cable for the 3-pin plug) could be a little longer, as mentioned by many others but it's not a dealbreaker.

Value for money and a brilliant charger .Having battery's that run camera and electric fencing charges them quick.

Please change the fuse in the mains plug. It’s probably 13 A and should be 3 A or less. The mains able is very thin and certainly not fit for 13A. The leads are rather short. Other than that and that fact that you probably need a magnifying glass to read user instructions, quite a handy device. Good to have a display of bothe voltage and charge current. It has a fan so be prepared for some noise.
