Himalayan Natural Crystal Salt Tealight Candle Holder

We ordered 2 of these. They're sturdy, have a fantastic warm glow, and add a peaceful feeling to the room. They do vary slightly in shape, because they're a natural material, but both of mine look very much like the picture. We like to light them and read to our baby by candlelight as she falls asleep at night. We also used one on the changing table for middle of the night diaper changes and it provided enough light to see what we were doing but was warm and soft enough that it never completely woke our little one up. Ours both hold votive sized candles, and tea lights, just fine. *other reviewers have commented that it's hard to get candles lit once inside. I offer 3 suggestions for this:1. Add a little sand to the well to position the candle on top of it at the level you'd like.2. Stack a couple candles on top of each other, inside the holder.3. Use a skewer or a piece of uncooked spaghetti to light the candle if you want it deep inside the candleholder.We're really happy with these candleholders and would definitely recommend them.

Do not purchase this item if you are looking for a Himalayan Salt Crystal Candle Holder. I have purchased many Himalayan Salt Candle Holders from various vendors on Amazon recently. One thing that is important when choosing a Himalayan Salt Candle holder is the depth of the center candle holding hole. The deeper down the base of the hole is the better the light looks emanating from the candle holder. The base was so shallow that the flame of the tea light actually sat ABOVE the top of the candle holder. When that is the case it does not make sense to spend so much money on a Himalayan Salt Crystal as it is the same as a regular tea light holder. I have other similar sized candle holders in which the the hole for the tealight is much deeper (the base of the hole is about half an inch above the base of the candle holder) so the light comes from within the salt crystal giving a lovely glow. With this item the tealight is visible from the top so the only glow is from the candle itself. You can get a regular candle holder much cheaper that will give the same effect. The point of the Himalayan Candle holder is the glow from within the salt.

I'm happy with the candle holder burn candles in it regularly.The part that holds the candle is even with the bottom of the candle... which leans significantly to one side which makes the candles burn inefficiently (think: one leg short on a table causing it to lean quite a bit). There are little bumps on the bottom to help steady the candle holder, but they're all the same depth which doesn't help at all.I have to try and wedge something under one of the bumps to even out the holder (think: wedging a coaster under the shorter leg to keep the table from shifting) so I can actually burn my tealights all the way instead of just halfway before they die (I've tried rotating the tealights but that doesn't work either).The wedge helps keep the holder more upright - however since it's a small candle holder, and little bump I'm wedging is small it's A) unsightly - no matter how small of a wedge I try to create, you can still see it. And B) if I bump the candle holder at all it falls off the wedge.

I bought two of these for gifts and both recipients were well pleased. I have a salt lamp for my room and love it, and was so pleased to present them as gifts. That being said, the packaging left a lot to be desired, so be prepared to take them out of the box in order to use them as gifts. I just put mine in gift bags and it was a much better presentation than the flimsy boxes they came in.

I bought four of these and I use one in every room. I also use the beeswax candles bought from amazon. Although the candles are not as pretty and even as in the picture they still are pretty cool. A couple of my candle holders don't even fit the candle completely and the candles stick out a little bit but as the candle is burning and the wax is melting it fits better. They also don't come with an aluminum or other material protection from wax and neither did my beeswax candles and it was a little bit of a pain to scrap the remains of the candle from the candleholder.

I ordered two pieces, and like them very much. No problem in placing or removing the tea-light candle.However, one of them has a thiner bottom than the other one. I am afraid it might crack if not handled with great caution. Hope this is not going to happen. Ordered them a month ago and love using them. Overall, a good purchase.

While I really do love this, it does get a bit messy. You don't even have to touch it and the salts do come off on their own. You will have clean up to do on a regular basis which leaves me wondering if the amount will increase over time? I hope not. For now, I just enjoy and hope they don't whittle away to a pile of salt.

I was surprised that the candle holder was larger than I imagined which was a good thing. I will only use a tealight in a metal container inside it. It would not hold up to cleaning with water. It has a lovely ambient glow when lit. It is heavy and not likly to get fall off a table. Would make a nice gift.
