Soles came off
The glue that held the soles came apart within 4 weeks of light use. Shoes are in the trash now (about 2 months after purchase). The front part of the boot necks down and rubs on the top of the foot so I had to take out the insoles to make them fit. The boot has a funny cut. I wouldn't trust these shoes to protect my feet in a crash. I liked the wrap-around velcro flap at the top of the boot. It kept the zippers from sliding down.

Quality is lacking.
I took a 400 mile road-trip in July and used these Vega 12 o'clock boots. They were comfortable enough and gave me good feel on the shifter and rear-brake. Half way into the trip I noticed there was a hole on the left shoe. The double stitching had held up but the man-made materials did not. Also, by the time I got home, the entire slider had ripped off from the shoe itself; not just where it screws in. So there is no way for me to replace the toe slider. This was all during normal use; no spirited riding, no track day, just normal touring of back roads in the summer month. When I saw these priced at $45 on Amazon I thought I'd be getting a good deal for a shoe that would last me at least one season. The Vega Merge shoes I had in the past held up for at least one season and were still going strong but I opted to "upgrade" to these 12 O' clock boots that offered more protection above the ankle. Turns out these didn't even last one-use due to lacking quality.

Not Bad Boots if You Can Get Them for a Bargain
I got these boots in my size at a really cheap price ($68) and I notice that for other sizes the price is as high as $115, For what I paid, they fit well (I wear a 10.5 and ordered an 11) and feel sturdy and reasonably well-made. In comparison to other, brand-name boots I have owned, these are NOT leather, so the material feels a little cheap. So far they are holding up okay. I have ridden in the rain several times already and these boots only leak very slightly, which is actually an improvement over leather versions I have owned. They look pretty sharp and the pair I received does not appear to have any flaws in construction. While I would not pay much more than what I did for synthetic material boots, I feel like for $70 these boots are pretty kick-ass. I say go for it if you find them for a deal.Pro tip: Tighten the screws on the toe sliders when you get them -- mine were a bit loose.

Boots run a little small. I normally wear a size 10 by size chart, and these had all my toes touching the end of the boot. Order a size up from your normal footwear. Additionally, the gluing of the sole and the stitching precision on many pieces of the boot leave a lot to be desired. At this price point, I expected more. I'll stick to Joe Rocket or APS for the future. This is my second boot attempt from Vega, and my second return. Never again.

OK for a few years only.
Bought these in 2015. After 2 years the bottom sole in back on one of the boots started separating. I used boot glue on it an all was good. Now in 2018 the other boot bottom is coming off, much worse. I got good use out of them for what I needed. However, I don't ride in the rain and I don't walk in them. I only used them for riding (exclusively) so I was hoping for even longer use then 3 years.
