but it has a pretty sweet malty taste
Very misled by the amount purchased. It says 4.8oz, but there are individually packaged bags inside the tin. I opened them all and dumped the loose tea in my old 4oz container and it only filled about 2oz worth. It's written in some other language so I really have no idea what it is. It's supposed to be lapsang souchong, but it has a pretty sweet malty taste. Will not purchase this one again.

The tea is excellent, chocolaty taste
The tea is excellent, chocolaty taste, nice flavor. First steeping 3 minutes, second the same. Only the can is big and inside are ten small tea bags. The tea would fill up only a quarter of the container.

Once only.
Too mild for me. Not strong like other LS.

I Know What I Like
Note: There are 8 types of tea being offered on this page and you can see them all in the drop down menu up near the order button, I'm reviewing the SE Black Tea Lapsang Souchong Loose Tea.I'm no tea expert and I had to look it up just to understand what this Lapsang Souchong tea is. It's smoked. I'm a fan of smoked meats and I can enjoy a good smoke, so smoked tea is right up my alley I guess. It's certainly new to me and I like it. But I needed to consult with my oh so English, tea drinking friend on this one.Her little nose didn't wrinkle up and I saw a slight curl of her upper lip, which means in her proper world, that she was overcome with joy, ecstatic with pleasure. Then she began complaining about my tea service and things were back to normal, but what I saw in that one instant, told me that she should have this tea, not me.You're going to make eight of those cute little pots of tea from vacuum sealed, individual foil packs when you purchase this. That's just $1.63 per pot and I know that's a good deal. When it's all gone, you can keep the tea container around for,........jelly beans or something?I can enjoy this as an interesting drink, but since I have a couple real tea drinkers in my life, maybe I should be ordering up more just for them. It's just something that I'll have to do to fit into a proper world on occasion. This product was sent to me to review, and I'm glad that it was.
