Hard face first.
The teeth are a little thin, but I read some of the other views and I welded study 31 hard facing on the bits before I installed them perfect my project was to dig about 20 holes over 6 ft deep in somewhat rocky soil. The teeth held up well and showed minimal wear. I expect them to last a long time

Post hole digger teeth
These teeth fit my old digger with a couple modifications ie I had to build a bushing to convert to smaller round hole. The teeth could use some added hardness as they wear down more quickly than the original brand. I plan to heat temper this new set or weld some hard face on them.

Don’t order from these guys
Very thin . Not as described. Never shipped when ordered . Had to fight to get it . Wouldn’t ever order again from this place
