Giro Petra Mountain Bike Shoes Ladies Black

I am very happy with this purchase. It's a good quality spin shoe. Based on the previous reviews, I ordered a size up from my regular spin shoe size, and it was just a tad too big, but not so overly large that I need to return it. i don't know if most of the other reviewers are accustomed to spin shoes -- they should fit somewhat snug, though not tight. I like that there are laces -- my old spin shoes had velcro, and over time, the velcro wore out. I know people like velcro for the easy on/off factor, but they take a beating (especially if you spin a lot and you get very sweaty!) They look a little bulkier than my other spin shoes, so I took off one star for that, but overall, these shoes are a good buy.

I purchased the Giro biking shoes for spin class. After reading all the reviews, I decided to order size 38. I normally wear a size 7 shoe. The shoes arrived promptly and I loved the look of the shoe. I immediately noticed that there was a size chart on the box, and the 38 was the equivalent of a 6 1/2 U.S. shoe. I think that if the size chart was posted on the site, people would have had far fewer complaints about the size issue. The shoes are only slightly tight on me, so I'm fine with them. I believe it is a very good quality item.

Please note the size is off. I usually wear a women's 8.5 so I ordered size 39 based on a standard shoe size conversion chart. The pair that arrived was marked as 39 and 7.5. I had to exchange it for a size up. Otherwise, the quality is good.UPDATE I just received size 40, also marked as a size 8.25. Still on the snug side but I will keep the pair because a race is coming soon.

Sizes were not clear to me. Just a little disappointed. Still waiting for correct size to arrive.

i initially bought size 39, but they were a bit too snug so i exchanged them for a 40. the 40 fit good, maybe a wee bit too roomy, but it's not really a problem. for reference: i wear a 7 - 7 1/2 in regular dress shoes and 8 1/2 in asics running shoes. i have taken these shoes on 50+ mile rides and they are very comfy. i loved these shoes up until my shoe lace became untied and got caught in one of the cogs and i almost ate it in the middle of the street. this is most likely user error as i should have tucked my laces, but still, i wish there was a better way to deal with laces. i still really like these shoes, especially as spin shoes, but will look into switching to velcro for the street.update: 08/2015so the laces getting caught in the cog really was user error. i recently discovered that the tongue of the shoe has a little elastic loop that you can use to thread the laces through and will keep them out of harms way!

I bought these shoes to wear for weekend spin classes. I think they would work for mountain or trail biking as well. I am not a big fan of the lacing system, but that is really my only complaint. The cleats are sold separately.

I'm a size 8.5 and I bought a 41, my feet floated in these shoes. In addition the 'tongue' of the shoe is way too high. I will no re-order from this company because the return policy is more complicated than normal and I had to pay a substantial percent for shipping.

Great value for the price and cycle classes.The clips were pretty easy to put on. I will definitely get another pair soon.
