Cute, adjustable, lightweight
We purchased these bar stools for our kitchen island, which stands between 34.5 (floor to bottom of counter) and 36 inches tall (floor to top of counter). These bar stools come in a set of two and you can set them up to be either 24 inches, or 29 inches tall using the extenders that come in the package. For our island, the 24 inches worked best for us, so we omitted the extenders but saved them just in case we wanted them for the future. The stools come completely disassembled, as shown in my photos. They do come with all the hardware that you need, but take note that they do not provide any extras, so be sure not to lose any! Once we unpackaged the stools, it took my husband 25 minutes to assemble both of them. Actually, 24 minutes, but who’s counting….. (him!). The package does come with an Allen wrench, but I highly recommend using a power drill with the Allen wrench drill bit attachment, setting the choke very low so as to not overtighten and strip the screws. For the folks that took like an hour to assemble these stools, I’m going to assume they manually screwed everything in, and as you can see from my photos, there are a lot of screws! At the 24 inch assembly, from floor to top of the stool cushion is just over 24 inches, which would then squish down to 24 inches once you sit on it. Speaking of the cushion, it is a nice beige/tan color and it feels like suede. It’s very soft! The cushion also measures about 15 inches in diameter. From the top of the cushion to the top of the back of the stool, it is about 12 inches. Therefore, the total height of the stool is about 36 inches. The stools are not heavy at all, and they slide very easily on our hard floors. I like the neutral color of the seats, and the overall stool itself is cute. The welding on the backs of the stools could have been done better; it looks pretty sloppy. Overall, although I was hesitant these stools were too cheap, I am happy I purchased them.If this review was helpful, please click “Yes” below!

Great for the price.
I ordered these with almost no research at all, which is very unlike me. I usually spend a couple hours researching things. This, I bought from my smartphone app because I liked the looks, it had a buncha stars, and the price. They arrived in about a week, which isn't bad for Alaska. At my house chairs won't be used a lot, and by adults only. There won't be kids wearing the swivel out or banging them into counter tops. They are on a carpeted floor so no concerns about scratching. 50 bucks a chair!!They are sturdy. Went together easy. All the tools are in the box except a Phillips head screwdriver to screw the seats onto the chair. One very cool feature is they come with the short legs, but have extenders if you want a taller chair. I wasn't sure how tall I needed to sit comfortably at my island and I ended up using the extenders. NICE!!The swivel is nice and works very well. The chair is very sturdy. The scrolled back is nice and the chair is attractive. The welds are easy to see on the back of the chair back, but FIFTY bucks a chair!!!The seats look very posh, but really aren't. It's a cheaper microfiber over cheap padding. It's comfortable enough and after I sat on it the first time I was a bit concerned the padding wouldn't return to it's previous shape......but it did. :) It doesn't look like it would clean easy, but even I could buy some material and padding to recover these seats.Overall I'm super happy with the chairs.

Nice for a starter set
The backs and seats are heavy, sturdy and appear to be well made; the cushions are soft and comfortable; they were delivered on time; and they were packaged well. The reason for the 3 stars is the quality of the legs, the welding (large globs of unsightly welding material was used on the backs), the stiff seats (swivel), the poor quality instructions, and the missing parts. The legs are your typical, hollow, metal material and I'm worried that if anyone weighing over 200 lbs. were to sit on them, they will crush. In addition, I'm an average-sized female (5'6") and the backs only come to my lower rib cage. They will be used in my basement for entertaining the kids, so they'll work just find for the intended purpose. The swivels on 2 of the 4 stools I bought were very stiff and did not spin easily. With a little bit of lubricant (WD-40), they are working much better now.Next is the instructions: If you are used to putting things together, this is not rocket science and you can easily figure out what parts go where. But the instructions are copied poorly and it is difficult to determine where the washers go and which screws to use (you'll figure it out based on how it's put together and where the various pieces fit). With the help of my daughter to hold pieces, I'd say it took 15-20 minutes per chair to assemble.I purchased 4 stools (they come in boxes of 2)...and the first box I opened was missing the Allen wrench (which I happened to have in my tool box), and 1 washer. There was an Allen wrench in the 2nd box I opened, but it was missing 2 washers.Lastly, there are no guides/instructions on the bottoms of the seats, so you have to guess where to insert the screws through the chair base. I used a cordless drill and managed to get them centered nicely...but I had to have the help of my daughter to hold everything in place. In the end...these barstools are of the quality that you'd expect from Big Lots, or some other bargain/discount center. When the girls get bigger, I may recycle the backs/seats and build my own wooden legs.

Very nice
Very nice chairs. I don't like that there are no preset holes for mounting the seat to the frame, but otherwise they are very nice and easy to assemble. When you do mount the seats, since there are no alignment marks or holes to ensure you have the seat centered, you may want to just put one screw in first, look at it, and if it's off from where you want it, just remove the screw and turn the seat an inch or two to move the previous hole away, re-align the seat, and put the screws in. I would have liked a thicker padding on the seats too, but that's me.
