Great Pencil Set for the Price
I think of myself as an intermediate level adult colorist (hobbyist, not artist), but I’ve indulged my curiosity about coloring by accumulating a good collection of pencils, including Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran d’Ache Luminance, Prismacolor, and Holbein. With that experience in mind, I’ve really enjoyed using these QiLi pencils and just ordered a back up set. They apply very smoothly and effortlessly. Gradients, blending and shading are smooth and easy. High quality pencil and a huge color selection for a fairly low price (though you might want to shop around on the Web to see if you can get them at the lowest price possible).

totally acceptable quality
These pencils do not break and they sharpen nicely. The color is rich and i have had great luck on all types of paper. I would be happy to give or get these as a gift. there is tremendous value for money here. I use several sets for different sorts of paper and these need changing out less than all my other sets. Will purchase there again and again!!

150 different colors in a hard lead pencil with watercolor capability.
The Colored Pencils arrived and I immediately gave them to my wife, a fine artist. She is especially talented at drawing. She told me that work with watercolors presents a special challenge for her. These pencils are “manufactured from the combination of conventional watercolors with high pigment content and are perfect for wet or dry color blends.” My wife will experiment with them and I will come back later and update this review when she has an opinion about their quality and ease of use. Here at my desk I have a red pencil – 149 other colors are left in the case. I have just been drawing with the pencil. The 3.3mm thick break-resistant lead in this pencil makes me work hard to create a line and drawing. I just applied a coat of color and then whetted my index finger and blended the color on the page. This worked well and gives these pencils a distinct advantage over pencils that can’t be blended on paper. I am not an artist, but I do like to color mandalas from time to time. These pencils are not ideal for that purpose; they are a bit too hard for my liking. The pencils come with two small sharpeners, which my wife is not likely to use. That said, the sharpeners are portable and do work, after a fashion.Bottom line: 150 different colors with break-resistant lead that can be used to make watercolors come in a handy box with two layers of pencils neatly laid out. Recommended with noted reservation about the hardness of the lead.

just ok pencils
I use these pencils in adult coloring books. I'm a beginner as a "colorist", working on layering, blending, and strokes. These pencils are okay in the $80 price range. They are in no way equivalent to those selling for $150 - $300 for a set. They do not color as smoothly, blend as easily or have as much pigment as the few premium pencils I own. I found that the color was blotchy when I layered and that it had a waxy feel to it. I was able to transition from color to color easily and they do sharpen really nicely with no broken leads or cracked wood. I don't think I would buy these again.

worth it
I bought these Premium pencils. The price was so good that I couldn't pass, even though I have a lot of pencils already. I'm so glad I did, for the price they're worth every penny. They're bright and lay down soft. I don't need to press hard or layer to get a good vibrant color. They have great color choices and come in a nice paper box for safe keeping. They're worth purchasing and you won’t be disappointed. The customer service is outstanding too.

Absolutely the WORST pencils on the market
These pencils rate as the very worst pencils j have ever bought and I'm pretty sure I own at least 35 sets of pencils. They are so waxy you can not even get any pigment out of them. Horrible. I am not even joking. And for the price, you can get so many other better sets. Don't do it. Please save yourself the time and disappointment.

Almost as good as Prisma
Smooth, nice color, tend to break easy though.
