So happy with case they fit nice and snug

When they say it’s for the retail box, it’s really not. Maybe at most it’s for the retail plastic felt insert. But not the box that your zippo will come in.I bought this expecting the actual zippo box to fit in the dimensions of this case. The box itself wouldn’t fit. Considering that’s what I bought it for and confirmed it wouldn’t work I returned it.Do not buy this. I had to pay the $26 to return the case which wasn’t even my fault. And to top it off, I have yet to get a refund after weeks of it being delivered. So now I’m out the $115 for the case and an additional $26 for shipping and have nothing to show for it. Don’t waste your time or money. Try to find something else that’s sold through Amazon directly.

It clearly states that you can display Zippo lighters in the retail box but that is 100% incorrect and if you look closely at the picutre you can clearly see that the lighters displayed are NOT in the original retail box. Any collector will tell you the importance of maintaining the original packaging intact as part of the value of the item. This display case requires that you remove the cradle insert that holds the lighter inside the retail box and place it on the rails of the display case which totally invalidates the original packaging. It is also only valid on specific versions of the retail packaging. If any of your lighters are packaged in the plastic flip style box they will not work at all.

I agree with the comment from James which he wrote 4 years ago. The shelves are too tight for displaying Zippos in their retail box. James wrote pretty much the same 4 years ago and the manufacturer did not change anything on the display case. I wish I would have read James comment before I bought the case. I would have not bought it. The display case by itself looks very nice. Nice and dark Walnut. What I don’t like is that the glass is made of plastic. I like glass glass. The golden hinges and and lock are looking very good on this case. The felt background arrived somewhat dirty. Was able to remove most of it. The rest would have been covered by Zippos in the retail box. I really wanted to like this case. I will return the display case.
