The phone Mount has two easy ways to use. The suction part is really strong and sticks to the window. I prefer to use the part that snaps onto the AC unit. It stays still and makes it a LOT easier to scroll through my playlist or use google maps. Highly suggest if you have a new driver to help them keep their hands off their phone while driving.

I purchased this on the basis of one "critical dimension".Look at the third picture from the top given on the left hand side. Then look at the "side view" of the holder. It gives the "depth" of the Clamps as being 1.38-inches. However, I received it today and found it to be nowhere close to 1.38-inches. The same dimension measures only around 0.8-inches.I purchased it for a Cell Phone with a "Wallet Case", which also holds Credit Cards. As you know, when you flip the front cover over after opening the phone (folding it behind), the whole thing becomes much thicker. Hence, we need the clamps to be much more than an inch deep to firmly grasp the phone with the case. I just found out that is not what it is.To the Manufacturer : Please do NOT give "wrong dimensions" in your advertisement. They mislead the customer unnecessarily.We have to return it to Amazon but this is NOT their fault. Unfortunately, they have to bear the cost of mailing and other things.This holder may still be very good for everyone else, who do not have "Wallet" type phone cases. There are thirty-nine reviewers who have given 5-Stars and I believed all of them. Unfortunately, the critical dimension that I based my purchase on was wrong and therefore it is unsuitable for me. The rest of the qualities of the holder are immaterial to me at this point.

This car phone mount came without instructions about how to put the phone in (fairly intuitive), or how to release it. There's a small, inconveniently placed button on the lower left side of the mount that you press to release the phone, but you have to keep your finger on it as the arms slowly open. Just pressing it once won't do the trick. I returned the first one that was sent to me, thinking it was defective, but apparently, this is the way it's supposed to work. I doubt this mount will last for the long haul--doesn't seem particularly sturdy. Also, I've had quite a bit of trouble with the suction cup. I find the mount has fallen off the dashboard when I go to use the car in the morning. The last time I put it in was 4 days ago, and it now it seems to be holding. I'm not particularly happy with this mount.Update 9/7/20: The release button doesn't work anymore. I can shove the phone in, and I have to yank to take it out. I would definitely not buy this mount again!

Hinge broke. Now it is not holding it up after about 6 month. It was wonderful till now.Below is my previous view;I have purchased this for my car. I do travel around 100 mile a day to back and forth to my work. I have installed this straight to windshield and it is holing good enough and tight. it is sturdy and holding my phone weight without any issue. Good thing is that it has very good grip over the phone body, I have phone with cover and I loved that this one holding this much weight nicely. One additional thing is that the bottom of this holder is ope for charging cable. I can connect the lightning table to my phone while it is in holder. Overall good purchase.

Mini Cooper S Dash -For me the suction cup doesn’t work well. I have to adjust the arm out and prop it to balance on the dash. The photo show the phone holder elevated suspended in air. Mine will not stay up and pulls the suction cup up falling forward or off the dash. The weight of the iPhone 10S will tip over the mount if the arm isn’t extended and resting on the dash at the perfect angle. Once I have it balanced with the arm resting on the dash and re-do the suction cup it stays as long as its a smooth ride.

The best cell phone holder! I’ve tried so many and I had to return them all. I was hesitant to spend so much on one since you can get them between $6-$10, but it’s money worth spending. I have more access to my phone while driving. I can do so much now. It’s easy to install, very study, and it holds your phone right but easy to remove. Just make sure you know where you want it before you take off the plastic on the suction cup part. You may be able to change it 3 times right away but after that it’s stuck on there.

Went thru 2 of these as thought maybe first 1 was a flick. I think would be great product if I didn't live in hot Desert heat. The direct sun light weakens the plastic around the suction cup and then wobbles.

Nice and sturdy, good suction, and big enough for my phone. Had it for a few months now and it hasn't fell from my windshield. When putting on my windshield, I noticed that the suction had some adhesive on it. Hope it doesn't stay on my windshield when or if I remove the phone mount. Other then that, no problems.
