Good texture and very distinct taste of salt. The chocolate is not bitter and not sweet, just the right combination of both.

While it was well packed with ice packs and insulation, the chocolate did arrive melted. It’s AMAZING chocolate, but I was unable to use it for gifts since it was deformed and had bloomed. It wasn’t even particularly warm weather. I didn’t buy it in Ecuador because I was worried about temperature and travel so I paid almost double to have it shipped and still ended up with bloomed chocolate.

Pacari is organic, fair trade, totally local to Ecuador, and scrupulous about minimal processing to keep flavors fresh and nutrition content intact. The Salt & Nibs bar is among the most appealing of their products. Inky dark rich chocolate redolent with the winey rich flavor of raw cacao, loaded with crunchy pieces of cacao nibs and tender flakes of minerally red Ecuadorian mineral salts.This chocolate you chew - and the crispy crunchy texture and rich cacao and salt combine to make this an irresistible treat. Expensive, and not low sodium, but extremely yummy.

Ecuador is known for its chocolate crop. I love the balance between the dark chocolate sweetness and a little bit of salty from the salt nibs.The texture is smooth and it is really one of the best chocolate out there.
