I just love this towel! I've always had big fluffy towels, so I was concerned a Turkish towel may be too thin for comfort, but that's not the case at all! Not only is it a beautiful design, but it absorbs water very well, dries quickly, and is great to travel with. I also like the extra large size, it came in handy at the beach.

Quality can sometimes be a mixed bag when it comes to Turkish towels. Sometimes vendors sell reject quality product as good to get costs down. This is obviously the case with this towel. I can't speak to this companies entire product line but this is clearly a reject towel from another company's stock. EVERY time the "Aqua" meets white there are missing strands and the termination edges are terrible. I will include pictures to prove my point. While it might be made from high quality Turkish cotton, this isn't "high quality." Trying to determine whether to return the towel or use it to line my cat's bed. The jury is still out.

We were holding onto beach/pool towels that were over ten years old and bulky worn terry, yikes. It was time for a replacement and I wanted peshtemal towels. I'm a mom with small children and carrying one bulky towel is enough but carrying towels for multiple people is nearly impossible! I wanted something thin, light and absorbent. I am new to peshtemal towels so I can't speak to these in comparison to others however... these came out of the dryer soft and fluffed up so nicely. They're absorbent and none of the fringe was undone by the wash and dry which pleasantly surprised me! They're wrinkled but the peshtemals I've seen from friends are too unless they're the plusher waffle weave. These are wonderful and I no longer feel like the pack-mule at the pool! Honestly I would not have thought to use it as basically a placemat for the bed!I bought it for the DH to use inside, & out. They're really nice after a shower, but even nicer at the beach where they do not get sand stuck in them like regular beach towels that are either shag, or loop style to add a "plush" feel. Ugh! I have had SO much sand put in my vehicles that way!!Anywho wanted to try 1 to begin with, so gave it to the DH to put to use, because I thought it was really pretty in person, & may have been swayed by that. Hehe! I live with all boys, & The Man, so they need more than "pretty", or "nice" to meet their needs! So rough on everything always!Anywho he does use it for showers, haven't gotten to the beach yet - still too cold, but what really got me to thinking is when he pulled it out, & used it as basically a placemat on the bed! We had once again lost space in the living room, & at the dining room table to the boy's& their friends, so we took our plates to our room to watch a movie, & enjoy some down time. I'll be darned, but the towel makes a great placemat, & saved me dry cleaning charges for our $200 bedspread! Now we use it exclusively for the bedroom. It keeps crumbs out of the bed, & we don't have to worry as much that the bottom of a plate has something on it from counter/the table. We don't get pushed out often, just weekends, but it has been awesome! Washes well, cleans right up! We're just gonna have to buy a few more!We DO recommend these towels! I love this towel. It takes a bit of getting used to. It needs to be washed and dried several times in order to be soft and absorbent. But, once you break it in, it is perfect. Light weight, soft, absorbent, big enough to wrap completely around me with room to spare (I am, shall I say, full figured). Plus, you can't beat the price. I will buy more of these for my grandchildren to use when we go to the beach. Just remember to wash them a few times first.

The material is thin but I purchased these to lay on top of, for picnics and beach days. Don't buy these if you need towels to dry off with, but for sunbathing they're great. Sturdy and very large, fold up pretty small and looks just like the picture.

Terrible towels. I've washed them 5 times now with in all sorts of combinations. Thin (and not the thin you want with turkish towels) and flakey. I never feel like I can get very dry with these.However, they look nice and the tassels have held up. If you are looking for a cheap beach towel or table runner, these might work for you. Otherwise, do not buy.

This is the most absorbent of Pestemal towels I've purchased. I have a handful of pestemal towels now, and they do all get better over time, but you have to be comfortable with the thin fabric as opposed to the abundance of fluff and fibers that come from terry cloth or other towels. The best thing about these towels is that they dry quickly themselves, which is a plus for my humidified home.
