I love it, bird isn't sure!
I got two of these, one for a blue front amazon and one for a hahn's mini macaw. It is fairly easy to set up (altho, note that it is a tad challenging if your cage is dome top).My amazon isn't impressed - she pretty much ignores it. My Hahn's - little comedian that she is, sleeps on top of it, on her back, right by the chimney. So, I guess I can say she loves it - just not in the way I thought she would! They are well made and attractive, and I'd definitely buy again.

My Grey Loves It =)
My Grey used to just sleep on her perch. It wasn't until I got a baby Macaw (I put a big shoe box in his cage for him to hide in since he's still a baby) that I realized birds like to hide when they sleep. It made sense. I bought this but when it arrived I was a little hesitant because my Grey seemed unsure of it. I even read on the manufacturer's site that it could sometimes take months for birds to warm up to this little hut.Well after about a week, I got up this morning to find her sleeping inside. All warm and snuggly. When I talked to her, she peeked out of the doorway with one eye and then went back inside to sleep some more. It was just too cute. lol I have a crazy work schedule so I tend to go to bed very late and get up very early in the morning. I have read online that birds need to have a good nights sleep (uninterrupted) and I was worried that this was effecting her. So now that she has a little hut, she can continue on with her beauty rest even after I get up and turn on the lights. =)She loves it so I love it. Would totally recommend it to others with parrots =)

This thing is huge!
I ordered the large size since I wanted a roomy snuggle hut for two cockatiels who like their personal space. This thing is ENORMOUS! Of course, my ever-cranky female threw a hissy fit as soon as she saw it. She doesn't like new stuff until she's had a week or so to get used to it. There is no way this will fit inside the cage, so I placed it over one of their playsets, near the cage. The male soon got curious and explored it, finally Paloma checked it out too, but she still won't go inside. I think it's a good product, and a good addition to my avian habitat.

There's only 2 small things I dislike about it
My bird is still scared of the hut and refuses to go near it but that won't stop me from giving this 4 stars. It's extremely well put together. There's only 2 small things I dislike about it. There's a small tag on the inside that I had to cut out to ensure my bird wouldn't chew on it. Also the velcro straps are extremely long and hard to maneuver

Not designed for birds that are chewers (most parrots/cockatoos)!
While the concept behind this item is good, it simply is not practical if you have a bird that is a chewer (translation: large beak that is skilled at chewing things; i.e., macaws, cockatoos, and other members of the large parrot family). I purchased the extra large one of these things, and my umbrella cockatoo chewed this apart in less than a month. She destroyed 3 of them in 2 months. It begins by the bird chewing the internal insulation. She ripped that off then began chewing holes in the hut itself. Soon, it looked like Swiss Cheese and eventually fell apart. It doesn't matter if you provide plenty of chewable toys for your bird, either, because I keep an ample variety of toys and rotate them in and out of her cage, but she still chewed this hut to pieces.

My White Capped Pionus loves it. First night he slept outside the front of it..... Now he puts himself to bed around 6pm....he is in his hut every night!Update: over a year later, still looks perfect, and my Pionus has slept in there every night since he got it.
