SAAB Cars: The Complete Story Hardcover – December 1, 2012

Although the grammar and sentence structure were very good, I found this book was difficult for me to read because of it's poor organization. The author jumps all over the place with his thoughts. Throughout each section there are statements made that should be saved for later or left out entirely. The author states too many of his own biased opinions. There are almost no pictures of engine and chassis layouts which I think is inexcusable for an automotive book on Saabs. I gave up on trying to read it after struggling through the first 40 pages.

I bought this book as a gift and had a hard time letting it go to the gift recipient!The book is well illustrated with great photographs, and a lot of information covering the history of SAAB. The book design is very readable whether you just want to pleasure read or you want to dig into the historical details and specifications.If there is a SAAB lover in your life, this book will make an excellent gift.

Was excited at the prospect of a new Saab book. When the book was received I was underwhelmed. The book handles the historical info reasonably well, but skims over the recent history. It is clear that the author wished to capitalize on the news surrounding the Saab bankruptcy rather than doing a thorough and complete job. An example of this is the paragraph on the 9-4x SUV. The information on this vehicle is hidden in another chapter and provides no useful details about the vehicle. This is a very poor effort from Mr. Cole on the later history. I hope that it provides the profit he was clearly aiming for, it is an ok book, but don't expect much "good" information on Saab/SWAN's last days and the final products.

Great in depth book. Enjoyed the insights into the internal decisions that resulted in the cars.

I got this for my Dad, who has worked with Saab for 40 years. There is plenty of information in here, especially about the very early days of Saab, that I didn't know. It was current up into 2012, with all the ownership developments till then. Even if you own other Saab books, this is well worth getting.

Great book for Saab enthusiasts

This was a gift and I have not personally read it (yet, I will), but the recipient loved it and has shared it with my husband and I. If you are a Saab enthusiast and love books, this is a perfect gift for a friend (or yourself!)

Great for the car guy

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Lots of information about the cars through the generations of models and the people behind them. Sadly we lost Eric Carlsson recently, who did so much to put SAAB "on the motorsport map". If you have any interest in the ethos behind SAAB, this is well worth a read.

The Saab car is one of my favorite car makes and when I found this book I really wanted to purchase it. It covers the history of the Saab as well as the newer models which is what I wanted. Really happy with my purchase and I recommend this book to anyone who likes Saab cars.

SAAB cars were of particular interest to me for the first 35 years of their history, incorporating the aerodynamic and highly distinctive 92,93 & 96 models before moving up market with the 99 and then the first 900. This book is very well illustrated, including numerous photos by the author.I found a few inaccuracies and misprints (I would have proof read it!), but it is clear the author has enormous enthusiasm for the marque. Unusually for me, the book was read from cover to cover within 3 days of delivery.My biggest regret was not owning a real SAAB (i.e. one built before the GM period).

Very interesting and nice book for the Saab funs! I recommend the seller for the very fast delivery!

lots of interesting info, in this and some good photo's, but as a life long saab fan, I did find there were a few factual errors, and some editing mistakes
