Vega Antioxidant EFA Oil Blend - SeQuel - 500 ml - Liquid

I like that this oil is a combination of different kinds of seeds, not just flax. It tastes good enough to eat by the tablespoon, as salad dressing with fresh lemon juice and S&P, or in smoothies. My standard use is a smoothie made with Vega's Optimizer Powder, fresh berries and soaked almonds. My second favorite use is to drizzle it on popcorn along with olive oil and a sprinkling of grated parmesan). I keep the bottle in the freezer to extend its shelf life to 1-2 months. It doesn't freeze solid, but can be squeezed out as a paste if the bottle is kept upside down. I mark its "opened" date on the label so that I don't accidentally use it when it's no longer fresh (it doesn't seem to get a warning "rancid" smell) because I don't want to risk generating free radicals, which would be more harmful than not taking Omega-3 at all.

I know the value of omega fats (all three of them) but cannot abide the taste of fish. Then too, the poisoning of our oceans makes me loathe to eat fish anyway. Therefore, I was VERY happy to try this. Not only is is from a great company (check out the entire Vega line) BUT it actually tastes fine. I add it to pasta (not hot but warmish) as a toss to help me get it down (it is oil after all). My husband just takes a couple of squirts straight from the bottle. Can get it at Vitamin Shoppe if you don't want to go online. Even psychiatrists are telling people to get their omega's for brain function.

I have been buying this oil for several years. I really love it on dark salad greens with agave necter and lemon. I use it on many things but I don't use it for cooking. Cooking would destroy all the best health benefits of this product. It does have a different taste compared to other oils but I really like it. I think the taste mostly comes from the hemp. I will always have a bottle of this in my fridge.

I put this oil daily in my protein drink to keep my skin, hair and nails moist all year long.You can't beat Vega products.

I used to buy expensive, gourmet EVOO to finish my meals and salads - but no more. This oil is incredible! Vega Naturals EFA Oil has the best flavor of any oil I've tried. I've found that foods filling a nutritional need taste especially good and this is wonderfully green and super nutritious. I use a little squirt on just about everything. (Love the no mess squeeze spout.) I actually crave this oil when I run out!
