The Walking Dead: The Final Season - PlayStation 4

The Walking Dead: The Final Season takes place a few years after what happened in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. Clementine is still with AJ, both now noticeably older, surviving apocalypse in what is now a hellish world that everyone is firmly used to. Graphics wise the comic book art style is still maintained, though this time around there's a lot more detail, which makes the environments look good - some vistas in particular look very nice - though sometimes it can look odd as the art style can clash with some of the more realistic views, but in general it is functional. The story is the bread and butter of this franchise, though, and on that it is well done for the most part. The plot in general is very good, though with one very noticeable event that didn't make too much sense, albeit one I will happily ignore because the game was still so good at getting to me emotionally. The choices meanwhile are similarly good because each of the four episodes give you a decent amount to pick from, many of which lead to different consequences for your actions, with the final episode in particular having those which stand out the most and are especially good. The acting is also well done, even for minor characters, and there was never a point where any voice actors sounded like they were unbothered or weren't able to keep up with the likes of the always excellent Melissa Hutchison, who voices Clementine. Speaking of which, the music is also good and is used effectively throughout the series, with one moment in the third episode in particular that was utterly phenomenal. Gameplay wise there's not much to say because you're mostly just walking or talking, though this time around there was some more combat relative to previous games. This is to be expected really, as is this is the finale, though in general it wasn't really all that interesting, especially in the last episode where they put in a lot of it. The one other big thing in terms of gameplay is that there are now collectibles, but those are easily the worst part of the game because they don't really make any sense and make everything feel very gamey and shouldn't have been included at all. Overall though this is still a good game and I enjoyed my time with it. If you haven't played it yet and want to know how things end then you'll probably be satisfied, and if you haven't played any games in the franchise at all I would recommend starting from the first before going through all of them and of course leaving this for last.

This series is amazing this season just as good as he others if not the best out of them the ending was perfect and I’m sad for it to end but happy it got an ending, but the issue is I had a lot of trouble downloading the last two episodes which you have to download to be able to play, it kept saying can’t connect or something like that and I had working WiFi with PlayStation plus subscription active and everything was working on my end but it must of been the servers or something I googled online and it seems to be a common problem but no one really had an answer other than emailing Skybound for a code for the episodes, the other advice I found was to keep clicking on it until it downloads which took a few days of trying but eventually it showed up, I think and this is just what I think that since the company went under and the seasons and episodes are no longer for sale as of recently that it wasn’t there to download or the server it downloads from isn’t working active anymore unsure it lucky I finally got them but I have to keep WiFi connected otherwise it doesn’t show I have them downloaded other than this frustration that makes me never want to delete it off my game sytem incase I want to replay this game was worth every penny and was amazing

If you are a fan of the Telltale Series, you need to buy and play this game. I laughed, I cried, I was afraid. They stuck the landing. Amazing game and an amazing saga.
