Ender 5 Direct Drive Upgrade Kit

Though the Amazon page says it works on all Ender 5's, it looks like the plate does not accommodate the BL Touch on my Ender 5 Plus printers. The holes on the plate do not match the factory plate and I see no reason they shouldn't.Is this true, and what will I have to do to make it work? If it is only a matter of milling out a new plate on my CNC, I can do that if I had a CAD file (SolidWorks, STEP, or DXF). Otherwise, I may have to send them back. I'd rather not since there should be a workable solution and it's a great Idea of a product.You might want to update the Amazon ad to say it does not fit the Ender 5 Plus instead of saying it fits all.

Two problems with the kit1. It does not work with the Ender 5 Plus. The holes in the new aluminum plate do not match the factory's so I cannot mount the BL Touch bracket.2. Layer shift on one of the printed parts made it unusable. Fortunately, the parts are on Thingiverse so I printed a replacement.Frustratingly, Fargo3DPrinting still has not published my review on their site so people see three 5-star reviews. And their description still says "Compatible with all Ender 5 3D printers".

This kit was well assembled and included everything needed to upgrade my Ender 5 Pro to direct drive. Install was super easy, I just followed their guide on youtube and everything is working great and i've already noticed a big improvement in my print quality. Though I do have a question.. I ended up with a small lil piece leftover and I have no idea where it's from or what it's for... One end is big enough to fit perfectly over a bowden tube, and the other end is threaded... Anyone have any idea what it is or where it came from? lol

Disappointed in the quality of this product. Aluminum plate not anodized. 3d printer parts that don’t look very well.

Bought this to print flexble filament. With this kit the stock Ender 5 extruder seems to work OK with flexible filament if the nozzle is at the correct temperature. I have not seen any drawbacks to having the extra mass on the X and Y axis. It still prints at 80 or 100 mm/sec (with PLA not the flexibile stuff) without any issues. It installed according to directions in the video without issue.
