AUTOSEAL Cortland Water Bottle, 24 oz., Sangria

Water is the word these days, and maybe you've noticed that wherever people are gathered, so too are their water bottles. Landfill waste is to be avoided, so what works best for re-use? For ages, I used the bottles with straws as part of the design, but ultimately tired of trying to get it completely clean, the straw detaching in mid-sip, etc. Then came the Contigo AUTOSEAL. Ahhhhh.... PROS: 1) EASY TO FILL: Unscrew the lid, the opening is wide enough to accommodate most sizes of ice cubes and easy to pour water or other liquid into. 2) EASY TO DRINK FROM: Once the lid is on, tip the bottle, press the little button at the back, and you're sippin'. 3) IT DOES NOT LEAK OR DRIP: I confidently throw this into my purse, knowing that even if the cap is flipped up, the seal is tight. Caveat: Once I did this without making sure the lid was securely screwed on. The bottle is great, but it isn't idiot-proof. 4) SIZE MATTERS: The 24-ounce model is a nice size (although, for me, it served as the gateway drug to the 32-ounce), and fits into most cup holders. 5) DISHWASHER SAFE. I even put mine on the bottom rack, and it does great. 6) STURDY: But not indestructible. I'm a klutz & have dropped mine a number of times. Usually on hard tile. Most of the time they've survived without a scratch. Once a hard-tile impact broke the top and it was irreparable. Another time part of the handle on the top broke off, which didn't affect the usability of the bottle. For what I put them through, it's a miracle how well they survive. CONS: 1) You'll want to collect the whole set.

Love these water bottles. I've been getting these bottles for years. Easy to carry when hiking/walking, and love the Auto Seal is spill proof. My 6 year old granddaughter even loves this bottle.

This is my favorite water bottle and I've ordered it many times over the years in multiple colors. It's easy to clean, I like that it not only has no straw sticking out when I'm out and about, but it also has a little cover for the mouthpiece. The little carrying hook is surprisingly convenient and it fits into every cupholder I've tried it in.

Love this top. I switched it off the bottle it came with and put it on my 32oz contigo bottle-perfect! this is much easier to drink more water for me over the straw-suck type tops. Gave the other bottle to the kids. My biggest suggestion to others is that when you drink, keep your hand pressing the button until you put the bottle down so the water at the very top goes back into the bottle. Otherwise, you get this tiny water pool at the top and I have often dribbled on myself. That will make sense when you try it, but might not make sense right now. I did have a hard time searching/finding this top (even knowing what I was looking for), but someone at work had it and I really liked the style. Update: is NOT spill proof after the top mechanism begins to wear out....when I release the valve after drinking, it doesnt completely close off the water supply. Tipping upside down = dripping, even with locking and flip top clicked in. I've only had this a few months. Oh well. Still works well as long as it doesn't flip around in my bag.

Perfect for the kiddos- fits in cupholders

Many of the different bottles (eg L&L) that I have leaks after a while. Or their lids don't close tight and spill liquids all over my bag. The Contigo Autoseal system works really well. I can't imagine how this may leak. The bottle is also very sturdy and good to hold. Well done. I use this almost exclusively for water only, so it is easy to wash. But if you use it for other liquids, you may find the cover a little complex to wash thoroughly, although it is easy enough to rinse.

Der Becher ist sehr komfortabel in der Benutzung und begleitet mich überall hin. Die bestellte Farbe rot ist ein kräftiges Pink, ich finde es gut, aber wer rot erwartet wird enttäuscht sein.

Total worth. Very good quality, I am found of Contigo bottles and this new autoseal is as expected.

Una de mis botellas favoritas, vale lo que cuesta. Llevo 8 meses usándola y ha resistido bien. Llegó en buenas condiciones aunque viniera en un empaque poco protector aparte de la caja. El color es tal como se ve en la imagen y quizá hasta más bonito en persona. Es bastante ligera (más que las de tupperware de la misma capacidad) y los materiales se sienten bien, no se ven de la más alta calidad pero es suficiente, al principio me sentía dudosa de su calidad pero han demostrado ser buenos materiales a pesar de que se sienten frágiles, especialmente los de la tapa cuando los mueves para lavarla. Con el tiempo solo se han "ablandado" un poco la tapa gris y el botón para abrir la pieza que bloquea la salida del agua pero nada grave. Lo único que se ha dañado por sí decirlo es el alambre que hace que mueva la pieza de la tapa para lavarse, se salió de su lugar y no he podido regresarlo, aún así no ha afectado su funcionamiento. El clip funciona bien y es fuerte. Como otras reseñas dicen, sí es algo complicado lavar la tapa y si tu esponja o lo que uses tiene algunos hilos sueltos se van a atorar en el alambre que tiene la tapa. Entonces yo no le metería jugos muy pulposos porque podría ser más difícil lavar la botella. En general muy buen producto, durable si lo cuidas como cualquier persona normal, si eres descuidado no sé si pueda llegar a romperse o algo así (vaya, no es de uso rudo). Es bonita y de calidad, gran relación calidad-precio y me encanta que tenga el sistema de bloqueo del agua porque he tenido accidentes feos con botellas de tupperware que luego de un tiempo se aflojan o con un impacto contra el suelo la tapa se abre. Muy recomendada.
