Solar-Powered Refrigerator - 1.8 Cubic ft 24.5inL x 27.5inW x 36.5inH

I live in a rural area where power outages are not uncommon. I am transitioning to all solar-powered refrigeration and freezers and have had some units working continuously for the past 3 years. During a two-day power outage, mine was the only household in our area that did not lose all of its refrigerated and frozen food supplies. The Sundanzer appliances are very consistent "work horses" when correctly matched to solar panels and battery banks. It does take a new style of organization to adjust to the top-loading appliances, and the refrigerator temperatures are colder (sometimes near freezing) toward the bottom of the refrigerators. However, this is an adjustment that I'm willing to make in exchange for the ability to have grid-free refrigeration. I now have several units -- both the 1.8 cubic foot and the 5.8 cubic foot models, since their storage capacities are small compared to standard AC appliances and our storage needs are high when the chickens are laying and garden is producing. The lids make nice food prep areas -- bonus "counter space!"
