Very Competent little video and stills camera for the money.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I'm a photographer and I've been looking for something to help me get some more creative footage of my photography trips. My iPhone isn't stabilized so the EIS in this camera is great. I tested it and its remarkable tbh. The video I uploaded here isn't with EIS enabled but when i switched it on, video was nice and still. I was thinking i'd need to use this on a Gimble but it really is great so a selfie stick would be fine. In the box they offer you a free Selfie Stick so i recommend you take up that offer as that itself is top quality too...Images i have taken so far on testing are pretty good too. It means i'll be happy to strap this to my Gimble and Record some Hyper Lapses while i'm shooting on location.... You can alter the Exposure Compensation to not blow out sky or sunsets and the HDR feature helps to get bright shadow areas that are easily recoverable in lightroom. In fact the noise reduction in lightroom works wonders when you push these little sensors to the extremes.I'm not expecting it to be as good as my mirrorless Olympus Camera but with good light the chromatic aberrations etc are fine, You can zoom and use a narrow field as well as the much wider view which is quite good too. I recently borrowed a Nikon KeyMission 170 and video quality wise i'd say the two are on a par... originally i wasn't impressed with the KeyMission however it's a much more expensive setup, it's much heavier and while the output was fine, i was expecting it to rival my Olympus for image quality given it's price. So while the Apeman A80 isn't perfect, it's certainly easily as good for image quality as the KeyMission and i've compared with footage of a GoPro Hero i borrowed once and that too was similar.Battery Life is not bad , It comes with 2 x batteries but for £15 you can buy two more with a external charger and they are larger capacity 1350mah too.. which is better still.I'm really impressed with the carry case, the foam inserts are good too . Much better than those other brands who have a 50in1 Sets you can buy for £20 , the foam inserts to hold it all just squash flat. This Apeman case is nice and firm however and everything slots in well, it fits nice in my camera bag too so everything is kept together. Bravo.I like having the ability to connect up the App on your phone with wifi, however i suspect that will use battery life up and it's not important for me. Being able to start taking photos or video with it might come in handy when using it on the gimble so i don't jog it once it's setup.Overall , for the money , this action camera is great. I'm glad i didn't spend extra money on a gopro, I tested the water proof case in the bath and it worked but i didn't take it to 40m i look forward to grabbing some footage of my kids in the swimming pool no doubt. So many uses , vlogging, stills, timelapse, slowmo. a number of fitments for cycling etc... Well worth spending the few extra pounds getting the carry case and the few additional features over the A77 or A79 for example.

Good for daylight video, but battery lasts only ~60 mins
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is my second Apeman camera after my previous camera's lens got scratched when dropped.Works fine for daylight use as a cycling helmetcam, the image stabilisation being crucial and works well. A drawback for me is that the battery only lasts ~60 mins, but its easy to switch batteries in seconds. For use in low light conditions, the camera needs a good light source (like any action camera of this style). I first tried the video control settings, including Night mode, ISO (1600), and Exposure compensation but not seen any change; I need to do more tests of settings to find the optimum setup for my use.A fully-charged new battery ran out of power after 65 minutes; not the 90 minutes from the information. This is not untypical for cameras of this type, and I may run the camera with a battery pack attached for my daily commute of 90+ minutes.

Another Apeman Action Camera, Another Adventure!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this new Apeman Action Camera 4K as my previous one (same model) became faulty after I tried to download videos/pictures and had trouble doing this. I believe I committed the ultimate sin of switching from one mode to another while the camera was plugged into the computer. I was left with a camera that does not work and a memory card that may or may not still contain my files. My previous experience with the Apeman was good and I used it while diving on many occasions with good results. I even managed to swim with and photograph a whaleshark at the Ningaloo Marine Park in Australia last year whilst a professional photographer took a picture of me! I am hoping that my new camera will give me the same enjoyment that I had with my previous model and will take better care of it when downloading files. For the price of £69 this is a wonderful action camera for those that like adventure!

Great comprehensive package, Good quality and feature rich camera.
Camera Arrived Promptly and well packaged in a Nifty storage foam-padded carry case, Overall impressed with the accessories and features this camera has to offer, It is also very lightweight but not cheap light it has some quality substance to the feel of this camera. The main reason for Purchasing this was to fit to a Small GPS Drone, Which has a camera but bearly any stabilization so footage would always be shakey, This Action camera However comes with Gyro stabilization so footage I get is much improved whilst I can use the main Drone cam for Navigational purpose. The accessories included allowed me to quickly mount the camera and still maintain quite a low weight gain which is important for this use.The footage comes out nice and clear with 2k 60fps, and gyro-stabilized footage is a little more zoomed in compared to without it, but this is necessary so it can align the video cropped to give room for the software stabilization effect to occur, It does do a wonderful job though. Probably the best ive seen without opting for an actual powered Gimbal Which can cost a lot of money.Initially, the menu was a bit finicky, but once a good 2-3 minutes playing around with it, it was quite easy to figure out the settings and navigation of the menus. The battery compartment was a bit hard to remove without a battery fitted, Required a flathead screwdriver to pop up the lid cover, But once a battery is in the device, Pressing the latch will pop out the cover easily.I have yet to test the waterproof case, But all looks very good, And you do get a spare back panel too which is nice. You also get a Cradle with top and bottom tripod mount screw threads, so you can mount to a windscreen and use as an Incar DVR If desired. or mount to a gimbal or standard tripod or handy grip/selfie stick for example. Plenty of straps and clips, Elbow joints and handlebar mounts to ensure you have a mounting option for most of your needs. It's a great little camera, Very pleased with purchase so far.
