Marilyn Randall writes a powerful, gripping tale. I was immediately drawn to the characters in this book. I couldn't wait to finish it and sad when it was done. So glad there is a sequel!

The conversations were wonderful! The story was exciting and had some suspense as well. Really great descriptions. The characters were good...I really cared about them! I couldn't put it down!

It took me a little while to kind of "get into the story" but once I did, I found it like being involved first hand. The situations written about are ones that could happen to anyone and you find yourself totally emotionally involved to where you don't want to put it down until you find out what happens. The characters in the novel seem like they could be your friends and/or neighbors and appear very real. I thought it was a great book and the subjects addressed should be of concern to the average person. Worth reading!

This is a page turner that's impossible to put down! This was an intriguing, well structured and briskly paced story of unrelenting evil against the kindness and love of an entire family. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse for this unsuspecting family, it does. This book was amazing in it's genuine description of loving and terrorizing human characteristics, I'm half way through Below the Surface, the sequel and it just keeps getting better. Great read!

The plot is exciting ...the characters come to life...well written and the ending is a huge surprise!!
