Like the smellof New West, it was my favorite cologne, wish I could get it again, but the roll on oil has a great scent, receive compliments when I wear it!!

Probably the most horrific old bag lady smell on planet earth. It is NOT A THING like New West. Worse yet, it stuck to my skin like napalm, but didnt smell as good as napalm on the skin.Do not buy!!!!! It could be free - still, dont buy. It reeks.

For years I wore New West. It was my signature scent. It’s the only time I was ever complimented on how good I smelled. It lasted ALL day on me. When it was discontinued, I bought a few online, but after a while, it became ridiculous. I searched on perfume ingredient directories and chat rooms for scents that had similar notes to New West. There were a couple that were pretty close such as Escape by Calvin Klein or Sunflowers, but the thing they lacked was the longevity. And I rarely got complimented on it because the scent disappeared quickly. Along came Jane Bernard, and I don’t know how they figured it out, but it’s even BETTER than New West, and I still have a few squirts of it leftover, so I compared it. I bought the cologne and the body oil. Although both fantastic, the cologne doesn’t last as long which is what cologne does. The body oil.....wow! It will last for DAYS. I put it on my bathrobe and can still smell it after a whole week! You have to be careful where you put the oil because it’s heavy and applies with a roller ball. It can stain until you wash the garment. (It lasts longer on clothes.) So I apply it to the inside of my clothes or my bra straps or under the collar. I love it, love it, love it. If only they can figure out how to lighten it up so it can be misted just like New West......OK, I’m asking for too much.The only concern or dislike I have is the amount of plastic/useless packaging that comes with it. I realize they are glass bottles (I ordered 4 of the largest), but the box was way larger than necessary. Then each bottle was inside a clear plastic box, then wrapped in cellophane, then placed in a black pouch, then the box was packed full of those styrofoam packing peanuts that don’t degrade in a compost pile. And there is a free glass sample of something I wouldn’t ever buy that I need to dispose of also. The entire order could have been wrapped in tightly wadded brown paper that I could easily compost, but I’m left with so much trash that will sit in a land fill. I’m hoping I can add that message to my next order for them to not include so much packaging waste. It was hugely overkill, and does damper the buying experience. A picture is included. I still have to give the product all stars though because it’s that’s good.

I purchased a bottle a few years ago from Bernard Aromatics, not sure if this is the same company but it was the exact replica of New West. I’m disappointed my recent purchase does not smell the same. It’s missing something and does not last long.

You have made this human, #1 lover of “New West”who has begged & prayed for some magical miracle to get her hands on her only loved perfume in life. I check the internet every now & again for a miracle, stumbled upon this listing. Reviews had me very much intrigued, so I bought a roller ball. Figured why not! So glad I did! I still have a bottle that I take a sniff of every so often as if it were an illegal drug, to give me a jolt of happy, some memory of a time when New West flowed from perfume counters all around the world. . Spot on I tell you. SPOT ON! Since the better half of the late 80’s, most certainly 90’s, this has been my scent. & I’ve been lost without it. UNTIL NOW! Thank you. thank u thank u thank u. ( ps if you ever want to send me more. Please do) I always say why can’t the company “Aramis” just make more?? Why?? If it’s loved so much. Why not?(especially in todays world where anything & everything can be made & bought)& somehow you did. AMAZING. I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH! Sadly I want to scream from the roof tops of my new found gem, at the same time I think, “first rule of NW is “don’t talk about NW” because I don’t want it all bought & never to be seen again.
