Unfortunately this did not work on my Verizon Samsung J7 1st gen. I found out that my phone was not MHL compatible nor my Sony TV. You must have compatibility on both gadgets in order for this to work. Please check your gadgets before you buy. I googled "MHL enabled products" save yourself some time and money.UPDATE!!! As of today, 10/23/19, I have changed my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. This is why...First off I didn't want to give the impression that the adapter was "broken" in any way. I don't know that to be true. I just know that it did not work for me and the products that I had.Secondly, the company reached out to me and tried to resolve the issue, which I appreciate! Even though I had to decline their offer, I really do appreciate them trying to offer customer service.I still stick by what I said above...do your research first and then decide if you should buy the adapter!!!!

I will Never stop saying It USB has a bad enough of a connection but then some stupid Idiot genius Invented the Micro USB and also the triple A battery.I have bought many MHL connector most work a little while then stop working, often what happens Is the wires Inside the cable right at the Micro USB plug breaks leaving No connection, I have tried to fix It wiring In a better Micro USB plug but can Not tell what wire goes to what.This does work good has a clear picture but You will have problems with the Micro USB making a good connection.

I like that's all I'll be able to cast my new tablet onto my old Smart TV flat screen but unfortunately the cable doesn't work. It's made well put together well but either the cable doesn't work for my TV doesn't support it which I don't know why my TV wouldn't support it but it just doesn't work that's all I know.

First Amazon Technical Support person said it would work for the Fire 8 or 10; second Technical Support called said it would not work on a Fire Tablet. Not the product's fault but is not compatible with Fire Tablets.

Bought this on 11/18/19 got it next day. I should have read the reviews but figured it was just a HDMI Plug what could go wrong. A Plug is a Plug right? (WRONG). It does not work with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. First the plugs are difficult to fit the first few times. I tried with several Factory Samsung Cables. If you go to plug the power cord in the side port when the HDMI cable is in, it tells you to UNPLUG WATER DETECTED IN PLUG. I tried several different methods and cables. Came back to read reviews and apparently other people have had this problem too.I regret just opening bag thinking nothing would be wrong with just a plug. Unfortunately for me Sanitation just picked up my garbage so I don't have bag to return this piece of [email protected] not only Beware, Save your money look elsewhere. KevinNY 11/19/19 @ 0900
