VariousTime to Kill / Pelican Brief / The Client [Blu-ray]

Samuel Jackson and Matthew McConaughey shine in their roles in a Time to kill - a film I had not seen previously. Lots of depth and character development along with some surprising reveals.The Client with Susan Sarandon and the young boy really take the cake. Personally, the boy's acting was far superior to that of Edward Furlong in T2. Great overall story and surely a classic.The Pelican Brief is the weakest film here but still good overall, starring Julia Roberts and Denzel. Both leads did a good job though.

I was pleased to find this offer of 3 Blu-ray DVDS together, since I'm changing my standard DVDS to Blu-ray.Each movie is tense and enjoyable."Time to Kill" was enlightening and made you think what would you do in this situation."Pelican Brief" chose the right actress for this, Julia Roberts was superb."The Client" showed how a determined boy could hire a lawyer for help.For me it was worth the purchase and at a good price, so I recommend it to you.All are great movies, a 5 star rating.

A fine ensemble of court room flicks , each one full of great stars. Only The Pelican Brief was a new view for me 1 A TIME TO KILL . Of the three . this was my favorite. When a 10 year old black girl is brutally raped and abandoned in the old south . the fathers (' Samuel E Jackson )only thoughts are to kill these bad men who almost killed his daughter. What follows is racial tension involving the KU KLUX KLAN , and everyday people both black and white . A lawyer is hired (Matthew MCConally ) who enlists the aide of Sandra Bullock to defend the man from the gas chamber . Great performances by all including the father and son Kiefer and Donald Southerland . A real good look at the Klans philosophy of life too. Stars abound aplenty and this one is on my favorite Top 10 Courtroom movies. 2 THE PELICAN BRIEF A confusing political thriller with Denzel Washington miscast as a well known newsman. Julia Roberts has a theory why 2 Supreme court justices are murdered .When all hell breaks loose in the FBI and CIA after her theory is read including murder she has to hide away as she constantly followed . Overlong and overdraught I couldn't wait for the ending. Although this movie is full of stars too only Ossie Davis as a judge made me smile The worst of the 3 but not without merit. 3 THE CLIENT The telling of a young boy who witnessed a suicide of a gang lawyer along with his brother .The MOB wants him, the local authorities want him so he enlists the aid of a lawyer (SUSAN SARADIN) who feels for him and takes the job for a meager dollar bill. What follows is Tommy Lee Jones grandstanding as an religous district attorney general trying to find out if the kid knows the location of a senators body who was killed by the gang lawyers client . Some excellent parts as the whole district attorneys crew try to question the kid illegally and are dumbfounded by the tape recording brought into being by Susan Saradin . Overall a very good film involving the morality of government officials and what they will do to catch their man .

A very easy purchase, can't go wrong with Grisham. And, for one of t those moments when u remember a movie you've seen in the past, but your spouse, friends or Co workers haven't... well now for a cheap price, you can have those movies on tap, just in case your favorite streaming platforms don't currently have the movie your looking for.

It’s three great movies in one. Who wouldn’t love that?!?

I was feeling a bout of nostalgia for The Client and this 3-movie collection presented the best value for me as I don't need tons of extra frills and special features. I'd heard of the other two films but hadn't seen them. They're not half bad, but these are all established, heavily reviewed movies. I can tell you that these movie multipacks are a mixed bag when it comes to video quality, but I am satisfied with the quality of the HD transfers in this set. If you like even two of the three movies it's a good buy.
