A Gold Medal is Best Served Cold
There are terrorist in the world for sure. And not all of them emanate from from the middle east. In the case of this book, they come from Nigeria (Boko Haram) and from our old Cold War adversaries Russia. We do some major globe trotting with Pike, Jennifer and members of the Taskforce. The book even starts off by going back in time to the Munich Olympic Games in 1972. That just adds a touch of reality to this story. It's a battle of wits told from two (or was it three?) different perspectives. Pike, Jennifer and the Taskforce, Russian former KGB operatives, and a member of Boko Haram. Another faction of middle east operatives get into the mix and that just take this book to another level of intrigue. I enjoyed the book quite a bit. It had a few surprises, twists and turns. Even some humor. Great read.

Another great read in the Pike Logan series! But, Brad, you and I need to clear the air...
...because of Decoy.I won't say anything else. (Buy the book, read the book.) But, Brad, as a long-time Charlestonian (since relocated), I'll be hanging out at Shem Creek, waiting outside the Grollier office so we can have a word or two about this.;)Seriously: what a great series, what a great author. Another homerun. Thanks!

Slow start but it does get much better!
The first two-hundred pages or so made this a one star. Not much reason for all the running around until the real plot was, finally, revealed. I enjoyed the first five Pike Logan books and didn't hesitate to buy the two newer books. This story was pretty boring in the beginning and I was thinking I might not even read "No Fortunate Son" which is next on my bookshelf. But after struggling to get past the middle of this story, the good stuff came out and I couldn't stop until the end. Great characters and a cliff-hanger ending! Just the way I like 'em. And taking care of the traitor was how it should be done!Norm

Task force rages on the bad guys
This multidimensional plot led to this book being a very exciting read. The varied subplots and action kept the book moving. The details and action made each step more and more interesting.Brad Taylor writes in a very creative manner with lots of detail so you can picture yourself seeing the story as it I folds.

Lots Of Rage
First time I read a Taylor book about the Task Force. In an end note, Taylor explains which part is fiction and which based on historical events. It definitely provides a post-Snowden commentary on international surveillance and security. Taylor thoughtfully provides ongoing banter or dialogue among strong women and strong men about power, role, gender identiy, sexuality, stress, trauma, and decision making. The ending involves an impossible time-frame for concluding the mission; resolution of the impending disaster would require more than 20+ minutes, in my opinion. Taylor provides "ethical" deliberation related to the mayhem and violence; nevertheless, rage provides a prevailing dynamic.

Interesting plot connecting past to present
This is one of my favorite Pike Logan books. It links a past event of great import to the present day. Days of Rage introduces us to Aaron and Shosana which have turned out to be part of the family. Part of it is also set in Bulgaria, land of my grandfather. It has some cool tech gadgets and a do or die ending.

Good story
The taskforce team gets sent overseas to find out what an African is up to. The team gets attacked by Russians in the process. How are they linked? And who is responsible for disclosing information about the teams next moves? Good read. Great ending.

Great read
Another great story from LTC Taylor, capturing some of the relevant technology, evil in the world that most of us are not familiar with and the frustration of dealing with the political maneuvering of the “inside the beltway” denizens.
