The pencils work fairly well but can definitely be hard to see at times and the material that is used to mark doesn't always want to actually mark any steel it is applied 😁 n

I've used similar pencils for years and bought these in a pinch. they have a harder texture than my normal silver pencils and they leave a barely visible line on new metal stock. they work great on the rusty stuff, but earn 2 stars for their terrible visibility on new metal.

Exelent, they don't break like a soap stone, less time laying out lines to measurements since the point is much finer than other marking products. Even used it to write on a black greeting card looked Awesome on that too. While still long can easily be held with welding Gloved hands...
