Great cup size and undie fit
My son is 7 and picky! I originally bought him a universal size 7-12 boxer brief from sports authority, having a feeling it was going to be too big. Well it was, like way too big! The cup was huge and it bugged him so much he refused to even wear it. Not to mention the boxer brief cut in general was to big, he's really skinny and tall. I found this McDavid brand on Amazon and after reading the reviews decided to buy. I did notice that most reviews show parents buying the Large size for their 7yr olds but I bought the regular, and they fit him perfect! He's skinny with a small waist, I usually have the adjustable waist tied all the way in on his jeans. By next year he'll definitely need the bigger size, but If your child is skinny, tall or small framed and needs a comfortable cup to wear immediately, buy the regular size. They're snug enough to keep the cup in place but not too tight to the point of being uncomfortable.

I'd buy it again
I bought this for my 5 year old boy for karate and it does the job just fine. He's little for his age, so the undies are a little baggy, but that's fine with him and he can grow into them,The material is really soft and good quality. The cup gets inserted into a little pouch inside the undies and has stayed in place and worked as it should so far (4 sparring classes).I'd buy it again.

Good product
Good product, good material. My only concern is that the waist band is too small and it fits too tight although everything else fits perfect. Maybe a size chart with actual measures will be helpful.

good for a small boy
Son is a small 8 1/ 2 yr. old. He was constantly adjusting himself the whole game....rather embarrasing as he didn't realize he was doing it.....so it was probably bothering him....maybe we needed it to be larger but the larger ones looked ridiculous. It is one of the smaller design cups ....good for a small boy. Underwear fit well. We put another pair of slider pants/shorts over top.

I am glad I didn't get large
My 6 1/2 year old loves these Peewee Briefs with Flexcup. The Regular size fits him perfectly though the sizing says more for 4-5 yr old. I am glad I didn't get large. He is on the slightly smaller side, but wears size 6 jeans. Note these can't be big or the cup will move around. The material and band was nicer than the picture shows.

Looks good
My boys haven't tried these on yet, but I wanted to share the measurements since I had a hard time figuring out what size to buy. For the Peewee Regular, it is just under 8 inches across at the elastic waist, with the elastic unstretched. The length is pretty long at 8.5 inches from waist to crotch. However, I imagine the elastic could be rolled over to bring the rise down as it's a wide elastic band. The packaging specify said it's for ages 4 to 6 with a waist of 22 to 23 inches. The cup seems size appropriate and not too bulky.

Protects family jewels
My child's beans and frank were well protected with this. He used in a Tae kwon do competition where all the little kids just kick each other and their aim isn't always the best.

item is not the size listed on the package
The size on the box did not match the size in the package. Package says it's a pee wee regular, but the tag on the brief says youth regular. Because of this error of the seller it's way too big and totally useless.
