Effective little pump, used for emptying and refilling aquarium
In brief:This pump is effective, no-nonsense, and easy to set up and use. It feels robust, and does it's single job perfectly well for a reasonable price.Don't buy if:1. Your water pool is more than 1.5m from power2. The water pool is less than 3 inches deep3. You need considerable vertical lift on your water (i.e. from a pond to a high fountain)Buy if:1. You're after a no-frills, quiet-ish pump for water close to a socketDetailed review:I needed a pump which could help me setting up new aquariums, where I need to empty and refil a few hundred litres of water per day, and would otherwise be using a siphon and bucket. I decided to look into pumps to ease the load, and soon found myself looking at an entire range which all seemed to do the same thing (spoiler: they do). I picked this one almost at random based on it fitting my needs of flow rating (LPH) and generally having favorable reviews.I can't judge this based on how it would perform running a pond waterfall for example, but for my purposes it's been a dream. Simply attach the fixture and piping, dunk it into the deepest part of the water, plug it in and you're away. I've moved a few thousand litres of water a day using this and it's saved me hours. Even pumping water around 12 metres away (I bought a longer hose) and back when refilling. With options for 12mm and 16mm hoses, variable flow rates, and good quality suction, this should serve you well for most of your water pumping needs. The power cable is around 1.8M from plug to pump so make sure you are near enough to power by the time your pump is sunk to the bottom of the water pool. The top of the intake is a touch over 2 inches from the bottom of the suction caps, and given this moves the water on operation you probably need a water depth of at least 3 inches to avoid excessive air intake. In summary - does the job, I'm happy, and chances are you will be too.

An extremely powerful pump in a small package.
Purchased this to replace a failed pump, after many years, in our garden pond. This original pump was a higher wattage but the same quoted output of 1500 l/hr. Installed this when delivered after running it for 12 hours into a sink of water, to check for out of box failure. All was ok so dropped into the pond. It comes with 2 outlet fittings, both screw in, the smaller takes a 12mm i/d hose usually for aquarium use, and the larger for a 16mm i/d hose which fitted our hose to the pond filter perfectly. The water inlet and supply is controlled by a simple dial on the pump and there seemed to be a 50% drop in water outlet on the lowest setting, so not for us in our pond, but on the top setting which is clearly marked. If there was a downside there is no pre filter fitted to this pump other that slots in the plastic molding, so can get clogged with leaves, but regular checking is an easy task.Getting into the pump for maintenance of the impeller assy +++ was really easy, just to clear out any pond debris and especially to clean the rotor magnet.Time will tell as to how long this pump will survive, on for 24 hrs day on day, especially when facing differential outside water temps compared to an inside aquarium.;For the money, this pump is well worth a try, but please check the water capacity of the pond you want to filter, you will need a pump to turn over its contents a lot more than once an hour especially in hot weather.

Great little pump
The media could not be loaded. Having been asked by a friend to repair and make working a garden cascade (minus pump) that she had been given, I chose this item. It does everything required and does it well. It raises the water high enough and at sufficient volume. In my accompanying video, the pump is set to maximum flow and you can see that it is more than adequate. The inside of the cascade's base is not smooth enough for the pump's suction cups to anchor it, but it seems quite happy just lying on its side in the reservoir. I'm very pleased with it and can recommend it.

Worked once
Bought this 4 months back, used it once, just got it out to use again and it’s dead. Very poor.

Powerful pump but no attachment for water fountain.
It comes with three screw in attachments but you need to supply your own tube and top for the water fountain. Luckily I had some old spare ones and I managed to find one to fit but otherwise I would have had to return it.
