I just received this today in the mail. I bought this in for my house abroad but I wanted to make sure it worked before I travelled with it. So I opened it up and noticed that even though the batteries contain some sort of charge, the instruction manual says to fully charge them before use. well, this bell does not come with a charger. Even though the description says to charge it with the android charging cord, later on under what is included, it does not say a generic charging cord. so make sure you have one before you get this item. I will update after I get one and hook this up. Jan 6 2021 UPDATE: Well, it is dead. Doesnt light up at all. When it did work, there was a full 2-3 minute lag from when someone pressed the doorbell til my cellphone rang and showed me through the camera who was there. I do not recommend this item. Wondering why it lasted only one year.

Update 12/7/19 update.My doorbell is broken. No talking sound just a buzzing sound and static. Will update with the warranty treatment. It will be interesting to see if the company fixes or replaces the doorbell.Garbage.Missing files were there when viewing on phone, gone when viewing with SD reader. Seriously.______________________________________It's not a Ring, but it's affordable for most. I bought this as a deterrent for package theft, and a nasty neighbor whose children bounce basketballs off my bedroom wall at night. It has achieved my goals.Why the three stars?It can be heavy on the batteries, if maximum settings are used. It takes a full 2.5 days to charge leaving me without coverage. However, it can be hardwired.The third reason is because I find the logic of the software to be backwards. Events move from the most recent event, and go backwards chronologically with no ability to change the direction. Also, the sofware locks up, a lot, and you have to exit and start anew which can be a pain. There is no easy way to delete events caused by random movement. The software is from China and most error reports are answed with "does not happen in China." It has served it purpose for me and I could afford it.

This thing is a POS and the APP is one of the worst APPs I’ve ever installed. My network is 40+mbps where it is installed at and it constantly drops connection so the video feed doesn’t work. I purchased a network extender to see if that would help and it’s still just as bad. It does not record playback even with a SD card in it. The APP doesn’t have good support to make changes to the device. I had to fully disconnect the device and remove the app then fight with it to reconnect the new WiFi extender. The APP would not recognize the connection even though the device was connecting to my phone with no issue, so it wouldn’t complete the install.

I like the feature of the images (house/for the main page, video camera to record,camera to take pictures etc) to select for use. Connecting to Wi-Fi was challenging although it does automatically connect to Wi-Fi. You're have to connect to ToSee Wi-Fi first then your home Wi-Fi in order for it work on your phone with the app. It asked for your location that's different from the rest of the doorbell cameras. It's interference in the sound. Also the camera viewing is farther back than you need it. You can't zoom in. The picture is okay. I think it can be better becuz Zhiliao Wireless Video camera had clear video coverage & good range although it had long delays & rewind mode wouldn't go back to the actual setting. Along with some other glitches. I'm hoping this my last try on doorbell camera becuz I'm at number three or I'm gonna stick with a plan doorbell. The intercom is not working probably, the person can hear me but I can't hear them.

Installation was simple, video is clear and visible even at night. Configuration is minimal. There are few options to configure. It is not possible to link the device to house members cell phones (bluetooth or mac address) to minimize triggers when family members are present. From a security standpoint, I only need to see visitors, not family members. This would save battery time and annoying notifications when we are outside near the door. Price is goodUpdate: android app after a few months now displays ads and REQUIRES phone access!!! Dropped rating to 1 for that reason. Purchase price should be refunded. This is a scam.Update: has been a waste of money. set-up to try again, it has severe wifi range issues. configuring a new SSID requires a reset and setup from scratch (which in turn requires resetup of all previously attached devices). For months I looked for a rational and practical solution for external surveillance for my apartment. I tried some other devices which failed to provide the solution I was looking. I lost some packages before and during the process. This camera has high quality video 720 HDMI, night vision, adjustable picture, a doorbell option and long lasting batteries and I don't need to dill anything. Also supports professional installation. I can connect remotely with Wi-Fi and with data under my mobile device. And If some rat steals this device, I will not lost much money. For now I love it.

Look somewhere else for a doorbell camera. The product description is somewhat deceptive.The product description I received made it seem like the SD card is included. The paperwork in the box also states this, but other posts have shown this is an add on item. Also, if you have wifi in North America, you can forget this being compatible with it. I don't know how the camera is because I never made it that far. I don't usually write reviews, but I want to help any one who might be thinking about buying this product.

So I got this doorbell because I have children and want to be able to keep an eye on them when they are leaving the house. It’s so clear, I love the two way talk, I can record and watch it later, we didn’t connect ours through the door bell but the app is pretty good because I get alerts super fast. My only issue or concern rather is the batteries, I have only been using it about 5 days and it looks as if the batteries are dying already but other then that it’s great especially for the prices.
