Bought this to take on a trip to Central America. Didn’t get to test it in a real situation until after the return window, because you can only test in large bodies of water.Never got it to connect to internet (the internet connection lights are supposed to automatically light up when the drone is turned on, mine never did.Was never able to use it, and I’m still waiting on support to contact me.

I have made several videos with this drone and it is pretty darn good. I would say that it is one of the best. The software to keep it stable is made in Japan and is awesome. The parts and support are from China and having a rough start, the support is pretty good but they have had some growing pains. Support on social media is awesome. I would recommend. The MOST IMPORTANT thing is to do the maintenance even after fresh or salt water. Go to the forums and ask before use. My best suggestion. It’s pretty good.

I suggest buying another drone. The controller will fail if 1 drop of water gets inside. Controller has zero protection for any water intrusion. This drone per design is used in water but no protection from water. Warranty dept will take no consideration for water .. controller is $100.00

I really got some nice videos from a YMCA swim practice and some cool videos in a pond of some fish. Works great as long as you have somewhat clear water.

This is underwater drone that can move up and down turn left right tilt top and bottom and take 4k video. It does what it claims to do, but has it's issues. So many good reviews, pros out there, so I'll chime in with cons.1. Most anoying one is bad connection where you lose connection to drone while diving and when you don't know where your drone is. In about 30 min of dive, I had 4 disconnections.2. Controller and base station that comes with, is not water proof, not water resistant. It's underwater drone, but don't stand too close to the water, lol.3. Over all quality of controller and base unit, don't expect DJI, expect it to be 100 dollar drone that you purchase, toy grade. Not in level of over a thousand dollar product, not even close. Cheap plastic feel(which it actually is), very light weight where you can't set it down cause your phone is too heavy it will flip the controller over. Controller is just flimsy.4. No SD card. They have slot, but does not work, it's non functional port. All file is stored on drone. After your dive at ocean, you come home to re-connect all of drone, base station, (yes you need to have tethered to drone to get file) and reconnect your mobile device to base station wifi and transfer file, only to find out that file is corrupted, then you transfer again and again. Then move it to your pc again. Not to expect in 2020 with thousand dollar device.5. App should be in beta, not production. Never had success in preview, no more than 2 second preview. Then you need to go through #4 to transfer and view just to delete bad capture. A lot of video params does not work, chasing claims it will be released with new firmware update, but never happened.6. Parts are not available, if you break a prop. good luck finding the parts. I've contacted chasing for one lousy prop over a week ago, and haven't heard back yet.7. Charging is pain in the a--. You need separate charger for drone, base station, and controller. At leaset controller is micro usb charging, base station and drone uses same charger, 2 hours for drone, unplug and plug in base station and another 2 hours.8. Never had success with live streaming they claim to have available. I am not even sure how base station wifi connected (no internet available when connected) can do live stream to internet. It would've been better if they had connection to controller via cable.Despite all these issues, I still believe this is best option out there. It's not the best, it's not satisfying, but there is no better option.Does it take wonderful video when it's functioning? Yes.Would I pay over thousand again if I lose one that I have now? No.I just hope that Chasing Innovation would make parts readily available(we would pay fair amount, we are not asking for free parts) and have firmware update, and app update. Gladius mini has alot of potential, but that where it ends. To me, it does not seems like it's finished product. It has potential, but seems like Chasing Innovation is neglecting existing users. Once you purchase it, you'll feel like a hooked fish. Why would you feed a fish you already caught.
