I am wishing I could give this three and a half stars. It is an ok journal. The inserts are replaceable and come in lined or unlined paper. The consistency of the paper is slightly thinner than notebook paper. This will NOT hold up to gel pens. It will NOT hold up to markers, highlighters or too many underlines. It's only fair to warn you. If you get this journal stick to ballpoint pens or pencils. It may make an ok sketch book with unlined paper. The leather tie can come undone and need to be retied but otherwise this is an ok, reasonably priced leather journal. It doesn't lay flat, at least not yet. I think it has to do with how it is made.

The leather cover is a bit too thin. I like the refillable white paper in a book form, rather than the bound yellowish paper found in other journals like this. It is good looking with its embossed logo. Only wished the leather was thicker.

I love this journal. The leather is absolutely great. I've seen some people complained about the leather was too thin, but for me the leather was just right. The paper holds up to fountain pen ink and ball point ink very well. The pages are lined though, so that might not be your cup of tea. The lined pages are fine for me. Overall this is a very good leather journal without having to spend a lot of money.

Cheap leather. I'm going to try to return it and get one from a different company.

Absolutely love this journal. Inspiring to write in. Love that I can refill it once I'm done with the pages!

poor quality, went to return was going to have 6 dollars deducted, hence will keep a give to my 9 year old. Poor design/qualtiy

I absolutely love this. I use it most days and the leather is getting softer and softer
