Good Product But...
Be sure you know where this needs to go before just wrapping the handle of a tool. What I mean is that my experience was that this stuff wrapped and held just as advertised; in fact really well. But, contrary to other reviews I read, this was not easily unwrapped to make a correction. In fact it adhered so well I was forced to take a razor knife and part it back to where my correction needed to be in order to remove it. Does this product deliver? Absolutely! Is the handle I wrapped (ball peen hammer) more comfortable and have a better grip? Absolutely! Is it easy work with when desiring to rewrap? Not in my case. 4 stars for a very decent product.

Bowflex 1090 dumbbell tape
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I put this grip tape on my bow flex 1090 dumbbell set. The handles of the sets were metal with little bumps and it was really digging into my palms at the higher weights >60lbs. I wrapped it with this grip tape and feels perfect. Just the right amount of cushion , tackiness (not sticky) and the ridges in the tape feel great. No slip at all.Application was really easy. It seals upon itself, so overlap the very beginning then follow the pattern in an angle (same as you would do with road bike tape wrap ). One roll did both of these dumbbells with a little to spare, so I’d say it will do about around 14” in length wrapped around 1.5” diameter bar.

Oder is significant and transfers to you hand
I used this product for a "reacher" grip handle to pick up stuff on the ground (back surgery recovery). They say it's silicon, but smells like neoprene. Whichever, the oder is terrible and transfered to your hand immediately. I tried putting heat with a hair dryer on it and covering it up with cloth tape to no avail. I'm glad the video showed how to cut it off, got a big knife! Off it came. Also used it on a wheel barrel handle, it's outside, used infrequently, I'm hoping the tape will work ok. Maybe the smell will leave the product with the elements, but I'm not counting on it. Oh well.

Slipped off handle
Initially the grip tape was great but unfortunately it began slipping to one end of the handle by the end of the week. I used it on metal, for a piece of fitness equipment. I would not recommend this product for maximal usage. Might be good for something that is not used often.

Not Very Durable
First, this DOES NOT have an adhesive backing. I suggest using spray adhesive to get the first wrap started, especially on a low friction surface such as painted metal. A word of caution that the product sticks to itself quite well, and you need to be careful when applying. If you want to undo a wrap, the material will tear apart into many pieces, so just leave it as is and move on. Once applied it is grippy, but concerned on how long it will hold up. As a reference, I used it on a lawnmower handle, and had just enough material to cover the width of it. It does not go as far as you think.

Revived old dumbells to feel like new!
My old iron hex weights have taken quite the beating over the years and their chipped surface has become very abrasive & slippery to my hands. Instead of buying new neoprene coated weights, I wrapped my dumbbell handles with this grip tape. Wow! What a difference. Felt like new and secure in my hand. When lifting dumbbells, secure grip is important. This worked so well, I am ordering more for all my weights and some gardening tools. Sure beats that rough black tape I would wrap around a tennis racquet handle. Stretch it a little as you wrap it around...it will go further.

Product EXCEEDED my highest expectations
I have a piece of workout equipment that I use daily (Teeter Freestep). The routine I follow requires placing my feet on a bar and only using my upper body to exercise on 4 of the 6 days I workout each week. There is padding on the bar and after 2 years, it began to deteriorate and I could see the metal underneath. Needing to keep that bar grippy and soft, I was looking for a wrap to cover the worn foam.I found this wrap and didn't know if it would work or not, but figured I could find something else if it didn't work. When it arrived, I wrapped both sides of the bar (I bought 2). The wrap isn't sticky to the touch at all, but when you stretch it and wrap it, it sticks to itself and forms a permanent bond. This was the perfect item for my needs and I will, with absolute certainty, purchase more of it.

Great tape. Does the job.
Great tape, sticks and stays put even in freezing water. I used it for a grip on my SUP paddle for winter boarding. It stayed adhered to my metal paddle shaft and provided an insulation barrier and great grip for my hands.

Really only good for one handle so that means expensive!
Designed for a 50% overlap so on a 1” diameter handle, the whole package is just about used. A quarter roll is useless. Waste!

Needs better adhesive
Product started to come undone after only a few days; needs better glue.

Comes undone. Needs adhesive tape to keep it in place.
Good grip, while it sticks...tends to come undone.
