Sweet Perfection!
The Friend Zone has easily been one of my absolute favorite reads of this year. So when I found out there was another book coming out, I freaked out... just a little. This book was absolutely wonderful!!! Abby Jimenez continues to write beautiful stories that suck me in immediately and make me sad to put it down for even a short amount of time. Her giftedness for writing characters that are so intensely relatable will never fail to astonish me.Sloan already had my heart from The Friend Zone and Jason grabbed my heart immediately. Sloan has been mourning for 2 years and you can see and truly feel the toll it’s taken on her. Underneath the depression though, lies a fun, spirited, energetic, and loving woman. Jason... where to begin. His patience and sincerity was insanely attractive. Not to mention he’s just hot. So there’s that. But his heart and intentions and just WHO he was, was amazing. I fell in love instantly with his flirtyness. Because... it was impossible not to.This story was so fun and lighthearted, yet breached such heartbreaking emotions that you couldn’t help but feel the same pain these characters were feeling. It was also so fun to see Kristen and Josh again! Love and miss reading about them so this was just perfect. Everything was beautiful to read and I can’t wait for the rest of Abby’s fans to read another absolutely wonderful book!P.S. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend and suggest reading The Friend Zone first!!! It will absolutely enhance the reading experience!

Good book
This was book number 2, The Friend Zone should be read first. Sweet read. Realistic writing. Love is many things; sacrifice, compromise, communication. I enjoyed this book.

Beautiful story about life in between
The second book in Abby Jimenez's Friend Zone series is follows Sloan Malone after the death of her husband. Through a random series of events, she ends up taking care of the dog of rising singer Jaxon Waters aka Jason and falling in love. It's a complex story that shows the difficulties of navigating the perils of stardom and life of a musician on tour along with coming to terms with grief and how to move on to the new normal.I found this story to be incredibly moving and enjoyable. A fantastic follow up to the Friend Zone that could be read as a standalone, but makes more sense if it is read afterwards. There is a lot of depth and wonderful turns. A beautiful representation of how people figure out that period of life when you are in between.I read the book several times and also listened to the audio version. For the audio version while both male and female narrators did fine, I would say when they had to speak in the opposite sex their voices were a bit weird, but otherwise still enjoyable narration.

Couldn’t stop once I started
I absolutely love this book. I think if Abby Jimenez wrote an encyclopedia I would be reading it. Loved the characters and loved how fast pace it was.

great as always!
Abby Jimenez knows how to tell a story and I love how all the characters return to her books. I am invested in all their lives and I love reading what they have done with their lives.

I’m a sucker for a rockstar romance
I think the book glazed over her grief and PTSD a bit, but I loved the relationship between the two characters and of course Abby writes amazing book boyfriends. Lola was a fun cameo surprise. Fun and heartwarming read!

Love the ending!
It's not a secret that The Friend Zone was one of my favorite books of 2019. It was such a good story that I thought how can Abby Jimenez top that? This was the main reason why I had reservations about reading The Happy Ever After Playlist. I was so worried it was not going to meet or surpass my expectations. It turns out, I didn't need to worry. I ended up loving it. The ending is now on the list of my favorite endings of all time. While I was reading it, I was a mess. I cried, I laughed. I might even have applauded (a little bit). The Happy Ever After Playlist begins with Sloan, Kristen's friend from The Friend Zone, finding a lost dog by the name of Tucker. During the next few days, Sloan tries to find his owner. She leaves voicemail after voicemail until she gives up and decides to keep the dog. Then, Jason, Tucker's owner who has been in Australia, returns her calls and begs her to give him his dog back. At first, Sloan is not too sure he can be trusted but Jason explains he's a singer and has been away for a while and he left his dog with someone he thought he could count on. This conversation leads to more phone calls and texts between these characters for the next few days which leads to AMAZING banter!Between Tucker and Jason's presence, Sloan begins to awaken from her two-year grief. A grief so deep she had become a shell of the woman she used to be. As Sloan starts feeling better and maybe thinking a relationship with Jason could work, his fame explodes and in order to stay together, hard choices have to be taken or even harder ones to stay apart.I love so much the banter Sloan and Jason had. They had chemistry out the wazoo. Both characters were likable and I was rooting for their happy ever after (playlist). Yes, there was a part I wasn't too happy about but I understand why it happened. It did lead to the resolution of the conflict which was a pure MAGICAL moment (this is probably where I started clapping). In regards to Sloan's interaction with Kristen, it was absolutely refreshing. Two best friends who lift each other up (and not down for a change). Their antics had me in stitches. Also, getting a glimpse of Kristen and Josh's happiness was a fantastic treat for this reader.I hope Abby Jimenez brings a third book as amazing as this one soon.Cliffhanger: No5/5 Fangs

Danke Abby :)

The Happily Ever After Playlist is an incredible follow-up to The Friend Zone!
The Happily Ever After Playlist is just as good (possibly even a bit better?!) than Abby Jimenez's incredible debut novel The Friend Zone! I absolutely loved Sloan's journey to finding love again. At the beginning of The Happily Ever After Playlist, we find Sloan struggling to get her life back on track after her fiance Brandon's death. The once lively artist and talented cook hasn't been able to seriously paint or cook anything more than a Lean Cuisine in two years. That is until a dog runs out in front of her car and dives in through her sunroof. Sloan decides to take care of the sweet but trouble-making dog until she can get in touch with Tucker's owner. When Tucker's owner Jason finally connects with Sloan two weeks later to get Tucker back, Sloan refuses to give up the dog unless Jason can prove he truly loves Tucker. With photographic evidence of Jason's love for Tucker, Sloan agrees to give Tucker back as soon as Jason returns from his tour in Australia. Sloan and Jason keep in touch with flirty texts and daily calls until his return and Sloan starts to feel herself developing feelings for Jason. When they finally meet in person, Sloan knows she has it bad for Jason, the only problem is that Jason happens to be her favourite musician and his career is just starting to blow up. Will Sloan and Jason be able to make a lasting relationship work when Jason's career keeps threatening to pull them apart?Words cannot express how thoroughly enjoyable it was to watch Sloan open herself up to love again and fall hard for Jason. I also loved watching her open herself up to artistic expression through her artwork and cooking. Losing someone you love is incredibly difficult, and Abby Jimenez did a wonderful job of showing the different phases of Sloan's struggles with grief, her guilt over having feelings for Jason and her fear of heartbreak.I absolutely adored Jason! I think he's one of my all-time favourite rom-com heroes. The way he falls for Sloan, pursues her and fights for the HEA is so beautiful.Abby Jimenez became an auto-buy author for me after The Friend Zone, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with for her next novel!Highly recommended for anyone that loves romantic comedies.

Totally in love!!
Rating : 5 ⭐.Review : This is almost THE most romantic book ever! Way better than the 1st book, Sloan isn't as annoying as Karen (even though I love them both). Is it weird that I would have hug Sloan and tell her everything's okay, cause she made me wanna protect her throughout the whole book. Abby Jimenez as a way of putting things so naturally, it is a slow-burn but everything comes so smoothly and it actually very pleasing to read. Also not gonna lie, I do not like man's pov that much but Jason pov isn't boring to read! And honestly best couple ever !!Top 5 of my fav rom-com book for sure.
