I used this to replace the fuse box on my Tracker Targa 18 boat that broke when I installed a new fish finder. The measurements in the picture helped confirm it was an exact match for the old one. That and the good reviews is why I bough this one. Because of the fuse box mounting hole in my dash, I needed to swap just the fuse box. The base with grounds/fuse box, that this also company sells, probably would have worked. I didn't use the clear plastic cover because my boat has a stock cover. This fuse block is not waterproof. The clear plastic cover keeps splashes out of the fuse area, but water can still get on your spade wiring connections. I didn't need it to be waterproof, due to the location, so it was perfect. This fuse box is better quality than the original and I really like having the LED indicators. This fuse box was a great deal.The reviews said there is a small parasitic draw from the LEDs, so I installed a toggle on the dash that shuts down the power to the fuse box. My new fish finder has a parasitic draw too, so the switch was needed anyway. I bought the marine sticker label kit from another company on here and labeled all my circuits and the toggle switch.

Only 3 stars for water resistance because so far I haven't encountered a wet enviornment.You need these fuse blocks on contemporary vehicles if you want to add-on devices, lighting, whatever. Old days you spliced into a hot line, today you can't because some are sensitive connections to computers. Hard to find any exposed wires where you can use them anyhow. So these blocks are the way to go and make the job easier anyhow. Mine's in the engine bay Velcro'ed atop the OEM fuse box there to make access to that box easy. If the metal on this Tru Mods block is good quality I anticipate vehicle lifetime survival.

I bought this to manage all of the 12v. equipment on my gas EZGO golf cart. I used to have a 6 fuse system, but I out grew it. I bought this 8 fuse system which also has a negative bus bar to coordinate all my ground wires back to one location. Now, I don't have to check different grounding locations to see if one has broken, they are all in one spot. The LED light indicating a blown fuse is a bonus. The clear cover is decent, but I wouldn't count on it to be water tight. I would buy this item again.
