Not for guitar players
It is indeed a well constructed chair made with solid steel rod for the frame and the canvas fit's well and tightly into it's corners.NOTE: You have to be careful with butterfly designs as the cheap ones have a tendency to have a loose corner almost pop out when you get out of it and the next person to sit on it lands on their butt on the ground inside the frame. Very hard to get out of then. Check first before sitting at all times. Not so with this chairI bought this in the hope that it would be an excellent and very comfortable chair to play guitar in as it has no arms. I had found a cheaper one that sat well and worked great but was a day glow green eyesore and you really do have to watch that the corners are secure before sitting. Not a problem with this chair. The issue is this is slung very low and, although very comfortable, the front supports rise too high and the back supports too wide that a guitar cannot be played in it. Oh well. Live and learn. It is close to five star construction and quality and much safer than many butterfly designs out there. It's heavier than it looks because of the solid steel frame.I did note some chipping of the paint near the intersections of the frames pivoting points in it's construction. Might need touch paint up now and then if you have it outdoors to avoid surface rust.
