Not on the device itself. This just transmits whatever music is playing on your phone to your car stereo, so controlling the music is done from the phone.

Q: Would this be compatible with a 2009 fiat 500?

As long as you have an fm radio, it will work on any car. This is excellent quality aswell. 👍

Q: when connected to the car radio can it then be controled by the cars steering wheel controls

I havn't got controls on my wheel but I now use the echo auto which is great!

Q: does this have an aux input to connect mp3 player / cassette player to this to broadcast?

No. Pretty sure it Only connects with Bluetooth to your music player then will broadcast it to a spare FM frequency.
