Perfect preparation for First Holy Communion!
I enjoyed this story as much as my son! As it teaches the truths of the faith, it adds adventure. The two children that narrate the story give voice to the same questions your child will have. This book is powerful as well as entertaining.I am so glad I purchased it! I would recommend it to any catholic with a chid. We are using it for First Communion preparation but it is good for anytime a child will still listen to a story.

So good for 1st communicants
This book is so fun, I have been reading it to my kids this summer. I liked it so much that I will be reading it to my it the children that I teach for religious first communion class. This is an older book so it speaks of the Latin mass, however, the discussions that I have lead to good things as well. The story is based in England, Speaks of the Trinity and many other catechist lessons in a way that is easy for kids to understand. All while having an adventure through time!

A wonderful resource for the young, or just young at heart!
I purchased and read this book because it was required reading for a college course. But it was a joy to read and filled with great, if a little dated, information about my faith.Truly a joy to read!

Highly Recommend for any PSR or Homeschool program
This story, while set in Ireland, is easy to follow and it hits many Catholic teachings, even those that non-Catholic believe such as the Trinity and nature. It tells the faith in an easy, non-watered down way. I would highly recommend folding this book into any religious education setting, both through PSRs and homeschooling. One side note is that there is slight incompatibilities with the Kindle version for Windows 8...for example, highlighting and notes won't cross platform.

Perfect catechism for little ones
I bought this for my grandsons, who love stories and who need catechesis on their level. This volume is written by a British author, and we love the cleverness of the story-telling.

A wonderful book First Communion Preparation
I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is an indispensable piece of our First Holy Communion preparation for our children. We've read it many times and given many copies as gifts. Faithful to the Magisterium and well-written enough to explain complex things to adults, yet thoroughly entertaining.

wonderful
All the children I know that read this book just loved it (we read it as a group, several of them having their own copies and reading ahead). Their ages ranged from 8 to 12. The story was interesting to them, and it weaved wonderful explanations into it. As I was reading it aloud, I did stop and check for their understanding and at times had to explain further but it is more difficult in a read-aloud situation to follow deep themes, I think. Highly recommended.

This is a great book, but a couple of the "visions" I would skip or edit, notably the one on Mary Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I.
