I cannot give this paddle a five star rating for only one reason, but it a very important reason. And, it mostly just applies to men and not so much to women.First what is good about the paddle: Large sweet spot. Good power. Comfortable weight. Five stars for all that.Now, the reason it does not rate an overall five star rating: It has the worst, the most cheaply made, old technology handle/grip. The grip is short. It needs to be at least another 1/2 longer. Men may find the short length bothersome. Circumference is fine at 4 1/4 inch. The grip needs a larger knot (for lack of a better word) at the butt of the handle. There really isn't anything there. You will need to build up that area with TournaGrip, but since the handle is so short to begin with, you would end up losing some length.Despite this, I am going to keep the paddle. Mostly because I already returned a Gamma paddle because it was not approved for use by our PB club (no fiberglass faces) and I don't want to have to wait for a new.This a a good paddle. A decent 21st century handle/grip would make it an excellent paddle.

Tried going with a lighter weight paddle. Wasn't sure if that was the right direction, but for me it TOTALLY was! I have enough power when I need it, but when reaching for those awkward shots or backhanded "flicks" there was no more pain in my wrist or forearm! Yay! Weight was about 6.8 oz. Had been playing with a 7.5.

Excellent paddle for intermediate or above player. You also want to play with a lighter paddle for this to be effective. Very versatile excellent for volleying. Solid hitting surface over the Entire paddle

Great beginner paddle, allows for a variety of shots including a bit of a spin. But I bought a longer paddle already as it seems a bit short for someone with medium length arms. This is 15.75 most paddles are around 16 inches or 16.25, I bought a 17inche narrower paddle and I love it.

I play with Selkirk racquets and bought this for my adult daughter who is just starting out. It is a very good racquet for the price and it is MADE IN AMERICA! I recommend Selkirk over all other brands.

This paddle is not even 1/4 inch wider than the Selkirk 30PXL. This particular paddle weighs 7.1oz where as the 30PXL weighs 7.4oz.

This is a great set with which to get started. Fantastic price for two very nice rackets (intermediate through advanced) and good quality outdoor balls.
