I love Starbucks Verona

Really excellent coffee, but there are some things to be aware of. This coffee has pretty low acidity compared to most of Starbuck's bolder blends, and it's very smooth but it's not going to taste exactly the same as it is when you buy a cup of Pike at Starbucks locations. This is for several reasons: (1) home brew drip coffee machines do not brew coffee in exactly the same way that the coffee makers at Starbucks retail locations do, (2) this coffee will lose its flavor once it's been opened and exposed to air for more than two days or so, which would never happen at a Starbucks retail location and (3) Starbucks retail locations filter their water immensely, which has a fairly profound impact on flavor as well. While it's not economical to brew coffee with bottled water, for the highest quality the water you brew coffee with should at least be filtered through a home filtration system -like a Brita pitcher. That's what I use, and it has produced some positive results. Try not to use bleached coffee filters, because they negatively affect the taste. And finally, always be sure to brew according to instructions at first -or adjust according to strength preferences after you know what it's supposed to taste like, for some baseline of comparison.

The coffee is wonderful and no complaints at all. But amazon has begun to use the USPS to ship it to me and that is the problem. In my semi-rural area, the postal delivery is just shoving two pounds of coffee into my locked mailbox and recently the amazon packaging envelopes have been badly torn, almost tearing the coffee packaging as well. Never had a problem when prime was delivering but USPS is indifferent to seriously damaging any packages sent via their system .

I use this to make hot and cold coffee and it taste great. I use dairy free caramel creamer and caramel syrup and it’s absolutely delicious.

Same great coffee. Make it cheaper at home.
