It smelled very good, but I smelled like a hog because it doesn't actually work. Like all natural deodorants, this natural deodorant lasted less than one day, less than half a day on a hot day. Applying it was an unpleasant experience, it sort of stuck and was hard to move. That was a weird sensation, and I thought it was only coming off on the hair. Turns out there was no need to worry: The stuff obviously sunk into my armpits because it turned them an angry red that was absolutely terrifying. Well, let's not exaggerate. It was alarming. I tried this based on reviews, and im glad i did. First, about me: i am extremely chemically sensitive. Even if i cant smell it, if it is even the least bit unsafe, my body will punish me for going anywhere near it. So i spend a lot of my time avoiding places and people steeped in chemical fragrances (I'm sure they are otherwise fun to be around). But with your armpits, no matter where you go, there they are.So, after i realized i was slowly gassing myself to death with conventional deodorant (and more quickly, when 'body heat activated'), i switched to arm and hammer essentials, unscented variety. There i stayed for a few years, with a nice, somewhat natural smell, vaguely of lemongrass and light b.o.I recently noticed that everywhere i would apply it, my skin was ever so slightly peeling, and irritated (pinkish). Creeped out, but still not wanting to go back to neon green sportzone dude stick in 'fresh chloroform scent' i ignored the problem. Blamed it on excessive friction, or high humidity (both of which could have been true) and went on for months like this, stupidly, because i thought i had no choice. Stupid, because thats what amazon is. Choice, in almost every conceivable category.Enter Zak, unscented. This stuff goes on easy (after a week or so of healing, thank goodness), and dry-ish, if you throughly dry yourself first. It smells like almost nothing. I use a lot of unscented products, and most just mean that there are no Added fragrances. But it almost always means it will smell like whatever it is made out of. This smells kind of like.. I don't know, manila paper? Glue stick? Some kind of school supply un-scent memory from my childhood. Which sounds weird, but is actually great.I don't know about 24 hour protection though. I kind of smell a little bit now, 16 hours after putting it on this AM. However, i'll take a little smell i can't smell because I'm asleep over not being Able to sleep because of how much my deodorant smells 18 hours after i put it on.Great product, worked for me!

I love that it actually works! Other natural brands I've tried only seem to last a couple hours. I do have a couple issues though, the Zak deod is pretty hard and kind of hurts to put on as it pulls on my armpit hair. Maybe I got a bad stick? Also, not sure if this is related or from something else, but on one armpit I have a red rash that comes and goes...

It is just ok. I like the fragrance of this, however it hurts to put on which is what I am discovering with these without aluminum unfortunately. Plus it does not keep you dry and I noticed I have a stinky smell coming from under my pits without a workout. I will take my chances and go back to using the good old aluminum anti-persperant/deodorant which actually works and doesn't hurt or give you a rash. During my last mammogram I asked the radiologist and she said she tried everything and is also taking her chances. Anyhow, it not 100% proved that aluminum is directly the cause of breast cancer.

I had started getting irritations with other deodorants and antiperspirants within 3 -4 hours after applying, so I had to stop using those daily and only used on special occasions or on days involving heavy sweating exercises. I read reviews on Amazon and finally ordered ZAK Energize as my first natural deodorant and started using it for about a month.I am really liking it...I haven't developed any itching/irritations/rashes. And it does the job of keeping away the BO from sweat.I noticed a few people commenting on the smell. It does smell different than the off the shelf products that have a strong scent. Keep in mind that this is a natural deodorant and cannot be expected to smell like Axe or Old Spice. Having said that, I like its natural smell that is not over the top, it is just different.The stick is very dry, I wish it were a little soft, but that doesn't stop me from ordering again.

After reading these reviews thought I had finally found a good natural deodorant. Even stuck with it for a week giving it a chance and my body a chance. This stuff is horrible don't waste your time or money. Not only that they are charging a ridiculous amount of money for a poor product. Smells like pine tar, and goes on just like it too. Goes on clumpy and finally after a week the entire bar just crumbled into peices.As for the 105% money back guarantee as advertised on his website? After explaining my experience and being very specific asking for my refund, he wouldn't answer my question specifically. I was offered a replacement with an unscented one, and a sample of their new version, as they changed the scent. Sent another request/email with no response? Have to now send it back to Amazon now for refund hopefully.All in all, this deodorant actually gave me the absolute worst body odor I've ever experienced, almost like it had a bad chemical reaction under my arms. And the next day it leaves this clumpy residue that stains your shirts. Better off not wearing any deodorant. This stuff is just some overpriced, over hyped low quality deodorant.
