Thought Id try them!!
Got these for switching cranks faster and not wasting line. They seem pretty robust but not 100% sure. I'll give these a true test before winter hits here in Michigan. Played around the yard with these hooked to a 3/8 ounce lead weight and it held up to that so the real test will be when a monster Lunky smacks the crank and the fight is on! Hope it holds... More to come!

Too small to handle
I thought these would work out great to change lures since they are small and simple to use. The problem is when they get wet you cannot pinch them to remove them from your lure. Your fingers slide right off. I had to use pliers to pinch them and then they can bend. They might work for someone with small fingers.

I've used the Norman version for years. I like these better in some ways, but not as well in others. First, the pros. The large version is in between the Norman sizes. It's really better for most of my needs. The material seems equal to or maybe a bit better than Norman. The chrome finish should make them last longer - in particular in salt water. Really equal in about every other area and less expensive. The only con I really have is the "hook" are more curved making an oblong circle versus a round. This also creates a bit of a lip on each side. It very much could cause the lure or attached items to get sideways and perhaps come off. Haven't experienced that yet, but I've only had them for a day.

Lost a brand new lure after first cast.
I dislike how hard it is to press open to swap lures. It was impossible to do while Wade fishing. I used pliers to press it open to swap lures. I had just put a $15 lure on and I cast it out. Midway through retrieving the lure, my line got super light… the lure came off and all I was doing was working the jerk bait as intended! I grabbed another lure, rigged it up correctly once again, grabbed the lure and pushed it against the quick snap and it easily popped off. This explained how I had just lost mine. If you’re going to be fishing heavier jerk bait type baits 7/8 oz definitely do not use this. Your lure is not secure on this. I cut my line and immediately decided never to use this product again. Go with the Norton twist locks from academy. Never had an issue with those.
