Hi-Tec Men's Scrambler Low Shoe

Are they the best hiking boots I've ever owned? No, but they're $25. I bought these for use at work since all of my shoes at work, high quality or low, always get torn apart. I can wear them comfortably all day on a concrete floor and when I inevitably catch them on a cantilever arm and tear them I won't be as sad as I was with the $90 boots they replaced.They also breathe very well (despite already being covered in concrete dust) which is important in the somewhat humid environment of an indoor lumber yard.The price is right and they're comfortable to wear. They have a lot of traction as well. I would feel comfortable wearing these on a hike though personally when I don't have to have closed-toe/closed-heel like I do at work I prefer sandals like my Keens. I could see the pads in these needing to be supplemented with some insoles down the road assuming they last long enough in the lumber yard to warrant that. We shall see.

The rear of the shoe where it touches the back of the heel is very hard and it seems to come up higher than normal. I am trying to break them in but I cant wear them more than a hour or two at a time. The eyelets do not line up for the laces so I had to poke new holes to get them through.I have boots that I bought from this company that I really like, but I dont think I will trust the brand anymore. I will need to see the shoe in person before I will buy from them again.

Fit as expected. Decent construction. Lasted almost a year of pretty heavy Scouting. We got these at a really great price, so definitely worth it.

Product looks nice, seems to fit well. However there are quality issues. The inside and outside hole for the lacing do not line up. I contacted the manufacturer, and their only solution is return, wait for new ones to be delivered. For the price of these, it is probably not worth the effort. Will decide if to ever buy another shoe from this brand shortly, quality of product is a requirement for me.

Bought these for my son. They appear to be true to size and well made. He can destroy shoes in short order, so if these hold up for a year it will be a big bonus. (thinking about a pair for myself too)

Pretty decent shoes. I am constantly working on concrete factory floors and these shoes allow me to do that without discomfort after a long day in the shop.

Have quality issues but overall are good for the price. They are very stiff and not for gentle feet unfortunately. Also they are somewhat wide.

Product look great quality, but the size chart is wrong and I ended ordering two sizes smaller due to this error and had to ask for a refound to Amazon. Not giving 5 stars only due to this issue
