3M™ Micropore™ S Surgical Tape, 2770-1, 1 inch x 5.5 yard (2.5 cm x 5 m), 12 Roll/Carton, 10 Carton/Case

This tape is great on my face. It sticks well and removes easily without pain. I am not allergic to the adhesive like I am to some medical tape. I am using it to make a piece of tape to put over my mouth at night to solve my cpap mouth breathing problem. I use two pieces, one vertical and one horizontal. The horizontal piece is wrapped around the middle of the vertical piece so that there is no adhesive on my lips. I put it on my closed lips at rest to get a comfortable seal. This is SO much better than the chin strap (kept getting out of place at night) and the full face mask (could not get a good seal without uncomfortable tightness). The tape will be cool in the summer. And - the cost is low. 5 yards per roll will last 60 days.

This take is wonderful for people with allergies to most other medical tapes. I get terrible tape burns from most of the medical tapes out there, plastic tape, pink tap, cloth tape, and paper tape to name a few. I also get tape burns from Tegaderm which is supposed to be something that we with adhesive allergies can use. But it gives me tape burns that can happen in just a few minutes. These tape burns are not simple, they can go straight through the layers skin to deep wounds. This 3M Kind Removal does not give me any burns at all. t is the only thing my doctors have found that can safely hold for me. I have to have bandages every week and i finally do not have ant tape burns at all. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I have had an ocassion to use this product for quite a spell now. (Not of my own choosing). I have found that it works very well. It is durable and will stay in place all day. The adhesion to the skin is tremendous, but will NOT damage the skin on removal. However; due to the adhesion, it sometimes feels like it will do damage, that is how well it sticks. I highly recommend this tape for anyone who has problems with surgical tape damaging skin on removal.

I ordered these in boxes of 12. One box had only 11 rolls. The only remedy Amazon offered was to return the whole box. Since I needed to have the tape, this wasn't an option - I just wanted either credit for the one roll, or to be sent the missing role. So in the end I gave up, feeling the customer service should have been better as well as feeling somewhat ripped off. The tape is great.

I have sleep apnea. CPAP users know how important it is to keep your mouth shut on CPAP therapy. I tried another medical grade tape for sensitive skin that worked great, but it made the tip of my tongue and sometimes my throat go numb every morning...chemical reaction maybe? I don’t think it was an allergic reaction, but who knows. Anyway, I stumbled across a comment on a sleep apnea forum talking about silicone tape. I ordered some and no longer have any weird reactions in my mouth. The tape has slightly less hold compared with the other tape I used. But it’s not really an issue. I’ve been using this for about a month. I think I’ve had two nights that the tape failed and had to be replaced in the middle of the night. But those nights I was a little shy on length, so the edges gave way at the corners of my mouth. It’s important to have enough length. I have good success when the tape is about an inch past the corner of my mouth on both sides. No tape failure that way.

The description is wrong. It is the correct item, but you only get a carton of 12 for this price. It advertises 12 rl/carton, 10 carton/case.

First off, this is the best tape for holding my dressings in place (in a location without a lot of motion). It holds and is gentle. No pain removing it even on tender skin. My "go to" tape. Second, I decided to purchase a full box this time instead of individually packaged rolls. Huge $ savings. But, Amazon, you need to do better! I received this box inside a shipping bag (with no damage). The product box inside was obliterated. It was torn into pieces and all the rolls were in the bag loose. Shipping would not have torn the box into pieces unless it was already damaged prior to shipping. The tape is not “sterile” but it is medical tape that is used on wounds. I still expect it to arrive clean, intact, and in a box. Not loose, inside a dirty bag. Failed. Amazon, please don’t bother shipping damaged product. Take the effort to do the right thing. And, please better select the best shipping box/bag for merchandise. This happens too often!

I have frequent small dermatological procedures which require bandaging for 7 to 10 days. I have been bedeviled by sensitivity to every other tape I've tried with abraded, occasionally bleeding skin on removal. My current dermatologist introduced me to Micropore S and the difference was life-changing. Abrasions from previous tape actually healed under this tape. I will never be without it. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.
